a movie is a movie imo, who gives a fuck where its from.

as its been said already, movie theatres are on their way out. I don't think they will ever go away because you simply cant get the same experience on a TV HOWEVER its becoming more and more common for people to simply watch movies on streaming services. Not only is it cheaper but its more convenient. Going to the theatre is a rather expensive night out, the food prices for example are ludicrous.

in short, move with the times. A movie is still a movie no matter how its distributed. Things can't just stay as they are forever.
