Doubt it, considering he just released Fire and Blood, which has no reason to exist. Probably did it cos it's been too long since he gave his publisher anything and has no idea when Winds will be finished.
Don't have much to say about the show, so I guess I'll talk about the books.
From the set-up I have very high hopes that Winds will be the best book of the series. All our key characters are in pivotal spots and the four battles will probably take a large portion of Winds, while also laying the foundation for Dream. George has been adamant that he is sticking to the 7 books and will finish with Dream, however long it may be. We're probably looking at 2 books the size of Storm/Dance.
Spoiler for winds sample chapters and predictions:
So the main 4 conflicts we've been set up for are:
1. The Battle of Fire (Meereen): The Meereen plot will likely end here. We have Tyrion, Barristan and Victarion all converging. Barristan will probably die before Dany returns and it will be hilarious to see Victarion interact with Tyrion if that happens.
2. The Battle of Ice (Winterfell): Stannis is 100% winning this. The battle at crofter's village will probably climax quickly and he has Theon, who knows a secret passage into the Dreadfort, which will accelerate Ramsey vs. Roose.
3. The Battle of Steel (Storm's End): Aegon will take Storm's End, probably bloodlessly. So Stannis wins the north but loses his seat.
4. The Battle of Blood (Redwyne Straits): KRAKKENS Euron is a scary motherfucker. I wonder if Aeron will die here or become the drowned god's version of Bran
Reading that makes chuckle but also about what they did to the Ironborn on this show.
It could be nice to talk some predictions on what is going to happen in the last Season of Game of Thrones. Season 7 was so great to me throughout and I might need to rewatch it just before April, but to me The Night King, Bran, and Bloodraven aka the original Three Eyed Raven are tied together. No I'm not saying their are in an alliance with each other, I'm saying for one Bloodraven with his ability to see the past, present, and future, knew all of this would happen.
I was watching some Vids the other and the guy broke it down, that the Three Eyed Raven waited many years for Bran and as Bloodraven could warg in Ravens he's been watching for a long time. Bran liked to feed the Ravens Corn up that Tower and what are the chances because of Bloodraven Bran was injured and knew he has to be injured to play his role later in the future? Which is why Bloodraven was so receptive of Bran taking in all his powers, he could of done that and given it to anyone, but he knew Bran was the guy. I still think Bloodraven has a portion of himself in Bran which is why he's so robotic more so like Bloodraven. He died in that Cave, the Bran we knew before.
Now to the Night King how did he know and was able to take out one of Dany's Dragons, it is possible he can see the future as well like Bran? Does he just want the world to end or is he looking for someone or something? All this time he could of waged war like, but just not he's feeling more confident then ever, it is unlikely to think he knew he would get one of Dany's Dragons and Giants to add to his squad? How does this end guys, Jon vs Night King is going to happen on the final battle field. I see The Night King Army destroying the first few waves of Jon's Crew and all of them fleeing and from there they regroup and I do mean the major players before they show up again. So it's going to be a Rocky 3 situation if you get my drift hehe. I imagine the fighting is going to stop for everyone when the Night King and Jon meet face to face and boy that is going to be intense. He's going to need more than Dragonglass, Fire, and Valyrian Steel to defeat him, he needs to hit him and find an opening, and I see some kind of magic of some kind helping Jon out putting him over.
