McClane (Yeah, Another Die Hard Movie)

http://www.slashfilm.com/die-hard-year-one-details/

Quote:
Len Wiseman was at a Fox party for the Television Critics Association, he gave an update on the film, and confirmed he will direct Die Hard: Year One, and discovered that the prequel will feature Willis as McClane, as well as a younger version of the character through flashbacks. He explained that Willis will play an active role in helping choose the actor who will play his younger self, and also added that the character's estranged wife Holly Gennero will appear. In fact, Wiseman hinted at a possible family reunion, reuniting Bedalia and Willis with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jai Courtney, who played their children in Live Free or Die Hard and A Good Day to Die Hard, respectively.

While it has yet to be confirmed whether or not the prequel will directly follow the events of the limited eight-issue comic book series of the same name, Wiseman confirmed that Die Hard: Year One will take place in two different time periods: present day and the 1970s. In the comic book series, McClane is a rookie cop attempting to earn a promotion, while also contending with the violent Son of Sam murders.

Oh just let this franchise die hard already.
TommyWCECM and Draykorinee like this.

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its 5-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.

My interest level is almost at zero for this.

Re: Die Hard: Year One

I don't mind one final Die Hard film for nostalgia sake, but please drop the prequel/flashback bits. I'm not watching some youngin who will probably look nothing like Bruce Willis play a younger version of the character that I grew up with.

Re: Die Hard: Year One

I mean why? They already finally completely went shit with that 5th movie with who was supposed to be Mcclane's son and now we're getting a pointless prequel that is still trying to utilize Bruce's name value by making it based on flashbacks.

I love the series but I'm sorry I'm not interested in this at all.

Re: Die Hard: Year One

This'll turn out to be the Die Hard franchise's equivalent of Solo, minus the quality.

Re: Die Hard: Year One

Well they've ruined Aliens, Star Wars, Predator, and Terminator franchises, why not Die Hard too?

Re: Die Hard: Year One

Imagine this franchise is Karl at the end of this scene (2:00). Someone needs to be Al Powell.

John McClane before Nakatmoi was a regular every man beat cop thrown into impossible circumstances. That's what makes the story what it is. If McClane was James Bond before Naktomi then Nakatomi was just Tuesday for him.

I never thought I'd hate the thought of more Die Hard but after 4 this franchise needs to stop.

Re: Die Hard: Year One

I love Die Hard, but if it's anything like the monstrosity that is the fifth film, I'd rather they just not make it & save themselves ruining the franchise further.

Maybe this will be good, though. You never know with Willis anymore, he's been making so many shitty films.
