Re: Batwoman series on The CW

It wasn't even feminism tho lol. It was some warped concept of "feminism".

Wonder Woman was feminism. I really hope that people hold that up as the standard bearer of feminism in media.

We would like too. Sadly, this shit is what the media is going to push and gutter trash on Twitter and Tumblr are encouraging it.

Re: Batwoman series on The CW

Yeah, Batwoman, Ghostbusters, Captain Marvel, Rey etc are not feminist"at all". They are usually a beta male's concept and fantasy of the dominatrix masquerading as a "fully formed" "female character".

Yes, other women can also write these characters but I often wonder how much of that is this aspiration to be more powerful than they themselves feel.

It's too much veneration and idolization, not enough reality.

And this isn't the first time this happened. Look at some of the female lead characters that came out of late 90s media.

Much more relateable yes. They have flaws and weaknesses and can be criticized for various things. Female empowered characters these days are created out of a fear of being criticized and therefore they are designed to be flawless.

Re: Batwoman series on The CW

I got good vibes from this Show. I like how she's rocking Bruce's Suit and we might not see her classic loo till towards the end of the Season who knows. Also Batman is gone...so is picking up from Dark Knight Rises, if not where's Nightwing he would of easily stepped up if Batman was gone gone.
