Doubt they consider it a failure. It's still the second highest grossing movie of the main series and sold well on DVD and Blu-ray.

Exactly it is still all about the money.

I actually want to see more of that Cyclops he has an edge to him looking like a leader shame they made Havok older. Cyclops has such a good origin and his father and his son are awesome characters as well. If they follow the story (their version) and Madelyne shows up in the next one then I like were they're going. That end credit scene in Apocalypse gives me an idea they're going that route.

Well we'll be seeing Sinister at some point. Who knows maybe he's the one who unleashes Dark Phoenix? Then we get some sort of Marauders in it. That's where I could see them using Psylocke again.

Ummm yes, especially when the previous movie earned over 740 million. Unless you think a sequel earning 200 million less is a success. Oh and TASM 2 was considered a failure despite earning 700 million so yeah half a billion can be considered a failure.

It doesn't matter how much money Apoc made. It wasn't good. Failure.

I didn't see the post credits thing for Apoc. LMFAO if Sophie Turner plays Madeline Pryor too.

Only in this day & age is tripling your budget and turning in a profit considered a failure. At worst it was a moderate success. "Failure" is definitely not the appropriate word to use. But this is the time of internet hyperbole where the middle ground doesn't exist, everything has got to be black & white for some bizarre, idiotic reason.

TBF it's not just the internet. Blame some of the studios for having insane definitions of success.

"We made a $30 million profit!"

"A competing studio made 100 million more on their movie."

"But that's a different movie with a different cast and an established brand. Come on, we made money!"

"Not good enough."
