I want Watanabe back. I want him to be the Dr. Loomis of the series in that he almost speaks for the monsters and understands them better than everyone else.

They'd be foolish not to bring him back. He was one of the best things about the 2014 movie IMO.

I would love it if he appeared in all the upcoming Monsterverse films (set in present time) going forward.

This cast is shaping up well! The Monsterverse has brought in some quality talent so far.

Cast is good but the main focus of the film should be about the monsters, even if it's just dialog and understanding them. Too many times does the human element play an overly large role and puts everything else in the background.

Pipe dream I know, but it would be awesome to hear each monsters' original music playing here, especially Godzilla's. His music always gave me that "Shit's about to go down" feeling whenever he appeared.

Also, I really do hope they put his spiral heat ray in the finale battle of this film.

Oh if they put Classic Akira Ifukube music in the film, I will be in absolute heaven.

I just noticed, is there a gap year in Monsterverse releases?

2017 = Kong
2018 = ???
2019 = Godzilla 2

I kinda wish WB moves Godzilla: King of Monsters back up to a mid-late 2018 release seeing as it's going to be filming pretty soon.

I hope that they use Godzilla 2014 and not resurgence.
