That was one of the worst parts of the movie. Bane was a disaster in Rises. Everyone hated his voice and the way he died was laughable. The movie made bane Talia's bitch. He was just a henchman in the movie.

I loved Bane's voice. Not because it was good (it wasn't), but because of how silly it is. It was hilarious.

Each to their own.

I thought Bane was great for most of the movie like i said, the voice wasn't too big of a deal for me, esp considering they 'fixed' it for the home release i believe, but i agree, it could have been better. As i said, i judged his performance on 3/4 of the movie TBH, until all the Talia bullshit and the, IMHO, shitty last fight scene with Bats and the way they killed him off.

If they hadn't cut his balls off and done the final fight much better, i'd rank it even higher

That initial Bane/Bats battle though

I could easily tear the movie apart again, it was pretty bad from top to bottom especially with all the plot holes.

Re: Rumor: Ben Affleck to write & direct 'The Batman' movie

The Dark Knight Rises is akin to Batman and Robin imo, except both are on extreme opposites of the spectrum. One is too humorless and serious while the other is too campy and ridiculous. The situations that were happening in Rises were pretty damn contrived and it took itself so seriously that I wanted to laugh at the absurdity of what was happening. Everything that was presented seemed too fabricated in the movie. At least the Joker, with all his dark humor and black comedy, kept things a little lighter in The Dark Knight (even if some of it was unintentional) and The Dark Knight's events unraveled a little more organically.

I agree, there is a fucking lot wrong with the movie, but my original point was critiquing Hardy's (Bane's) performance, thus me saying he was the shining light, IMHO.

Not sure if we'll ever see anything better than The Dark Knight, but we may get something to give it a run for its money. Now... given how almost every major Batman villain was already played in TDK trilogy or will get played in Suicide Squad... JOHNNY DEPP AS THE RIDDLER PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?!!!

I love everything you said, but Johnny Depp as the Riddler sounds terrible IMO. Johnny needs to stick with Alice and Wonderland.

Yes Johnny can be corky, but I can't picture him as the Riddler, even a decent Riddler. Joseph Gordon-Levitt who's one of the first rumored Riddlers is a much better pick.

But it should be David Tennant he has the look and very charismatic. He would fit the role.
Please please stay away from the Batman series Johnny.

That being said, Affleck will do a great job with the solo batman movie. He can always bring in Kevin Smith to help out too since Smith is a huge comic nerd. They should fire Snyder before its too late from JL. Like I said before they should get Drew Goddard if not him then if Ben does great with batman give it to him.
