Simpsons/Family Guy crossover to air next season

Spoiler for Press photos:

Quote:
The Simpsons and Family Guy's crossover episode will premiere in September, Fox confirmed today (May 12) as the first pictures from the special were released.

The hour-long episode, first announced last summer, will air as an installment of the Seth MacFarlane cartoon and will see the Griffins going on a road trip to Springfield and meeting their yellow-skinned counterparts.

Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly said at the network's upfront presentation in New York City: "Generations of fans will be talking about this one."

The crossover will see the two families get along well, with Stewie impressed by Bart's pranks, and Marge and Lois bonding.

Homer, meanwhile, engages in a debate with his new "albino" friend Peter regarding which beer is better, Pawtucket or Duff.

Simpsons voice actors to appear include Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria.

Re: Simpsons/Family Guy crossover to air next season

At this point does anyone really care? To me a crossover with giants like these is like a Tyson/Ali or Stone Cold/Hulk Hogan kind of meeting. It's a huge spectacle but Simpsons is no where near it's old popularity. The jokes are terrible, the show is dated and stale, and to be honest Family Guy isn't the juggernaut it once was either. I think this is 10 years too late. I won't be watching it

This will be a train wreck, neither shows are funny anymore and they are aimed at different audiences, i don't see how this will work in any way.

Haven't watched many Simpsons episodes for a while. I will def watch this episode It's still a big moment no matter how much people will shit on it. Never thought they'd ever do a crossover.

Thoroughly enjoy both shows, so this is pretty fucking cool. I doubt they'll cover Quagmire killing the entire Simpsons household a few years back though.

Haven't watched Simpsons and Family Guy in a while too. A crossover sounds exciting.

Re: Simpsons/Family Guy crossover to air next season

I wonder what FOX had to threaten Matt with in order to get this going, it had been stated dozens of times before that he didn't like Family Guy, or something like the team thought it was a complete Simpsons rip off, and the earlier seasons are tbh.
