Quite easily Bryan for me.

I felt that the storytelling was better, and the match felt more competitive than AJ's match. I'm not sure if that was actually the case, but I came out of the match feeling like Bryan gave Brock more of a fight.

Agree to disagree, Brock killed Bryan for 10 mins and had the match won really early on after the F5. He had landed one strike up until the F5 and pin and I don't even think it landed, I think Brock avoided it or it didn't connect.

Why did you edit the rest of your post?

I didn't want this turn into a mark war. It's a subjective thing, the competitive side of things is not. Bryan was beaten early and his first strike that landed in the match was a low blow which turned the match around.

So don't make it one. Give your explanation. Be subjective. It's not difficult.

Re: AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan: Who got a better match out of Brock Lesnar?

From a match perspective, I liked the Beast vs. the Superhero better. Lesnar vs. Styles was a great match and showed why Styles, although not as big as Brock, is worthy of holding the title.

However, from a storyline perspective or an aftermath angle - the match told a story. Styles and Lesnar went their separate ways. But the new Daniel Bryan wanted to kill off any remnants of the old Bryan by feeding his own body to the beast. only then, through the pain could he be reborn as the new Daniel Bryan and start sadistically attack Lesnar.

When Bryan started hitting those big-time cross faces when Brock was trying to break out of the Yes Lock and then Bryan applied it again, I thought Lesnar would tap... it was damn close and I was cheering him. If he made Lesnar tap and he stood up victorious holy shit, WWE would have put Bryan on another level, and there would be no need for them paying Brock all this money.

So, that's my take. The internal story for Bryan/Lesnar was better, but the match with Styles I thought was better... so for me its a draw...

That's quite a tough question honestly.

Imo AJ actually stood a chance after taking a beating therefore it felt like your traditional back and forth match by making AJ look like he had what it took to go toe to toe with Lesnar just like Punk from 5 yrs earlier who also took Brock to the limit.

Bryan on one hand got dominated in similar fashion to Cena until he got one lucky lowblow and had Brock on the ropes in what I call one of the best comebacks I've seen when I didn't expect it to happen.

Bias plays a little part so I can't really decide because both were easily the best matches on their respective SS cards so draw for me.

It was basically Bane vs Spiderman or an anime version of Broly vs Vegeta (AJ didn't go down as easily as Vegeta would against Broly, Vince likes AJ more than Akira likes Vegeta.) with AJ not giving up, fighting for his pride and throwing every technique he had at him which Brock survived and overpowered through and led to AJ succumbing when he was looking to put Brock away with away his most powerful move in his arsenal. Once the match was over, AJ was trying to get to his feet to show while he had been defeated he was still standing and worthy of being called champion - again back to his pride as a competitor and champion.

Come to think of it, Brock vs Cena at ER was basically Broly vs Goku with Cena finding a way to come out on top after getting bodied for the majority of the match

If anything Cena turned into a Krillin at SummerSlam.
