Aftermath: Why was Mr. Perfect fired but Flair wasn't after the "Plane Ride From Hell" incident?

The "plane ride from hell" is one of the many famous encounters that occurred with the WWE stars.

The following are the notable incidents that happened:

1) Kurt Angle and Vince McMahon got into a legit shoot grappling match in the plane.

2) After that Curt Henning and Brock Lesnar did the same.

3) Michael Hayes punched JBL's already injured forehead (where he was cut the night before) when JBL was asleep, and split his fresh wound open thereby making JBL bleed all over.

4) X-Pac cut off Hayes pony tail when Hayes went to sleep.

5) Scott Hall did so many drugs that he wasn't even coherent after the plane landed.

6) Ric Flair was showing his junk to the air hostesses and sexually harassed them while he was drunk.

Why was Mr. Perfect the only one fired?

My guess is Vince has always loved the Flairs and maybe not as fond as Curt's family. How Charlotte is treated compared to Curtis Axel is another example of that but I personally don't know but now feel compelled to look videos up on YouTube about it. 🤔😑

Why was good ol' JR fired but not Flair when Ric showed up totally hammered to that god forsaken panel?

.. I feel this belongs in the classic section..
But the answer; Flair is Flair. No matter where he goes, hes given special treatment.

The fact Flair is everyone's favorite wrestler who matters, especially the son in law's. Basically get's him a free pass. Even after he sold his watch that HBK got him and threatened to sue WWE cause of the Man thing, tells you he's got a lot of leeway.

Don't forget Goldust serenading his ex-wife Terri with love songs over the plane's PA system.

This is still one of the most baffling things I have ever heard.
One guy gets drunk and fucks shit for everyone, but it's another guy that gets fired because he didn't manage a fucking 60 year into drinking responsibly. Ric Flair is a piece of shit and everyone covering for him are as well, it's basically the monopolistic elites in wrestling that do whatever they want.

Re: Aftermath: Why was Mr. Perfect fired but Flair wasn't after the "Plane Ride From Hell" incident?

Because Flair is gonna Flair and Vince is gonna Vince. For all his crap Vince evidently has a soft spot for Flair. Maybe he just sees Flair's actions as a "given" and something that can't really be controlled other than getting rid of Flair. Since Vince doesn't want to do that, he makes someone else the scapegoat for Flair's shenanigans.
