Re: The Booking Game

AEW Double or Nothing

Buy-In Pre-Show Match #1: 21-Man Casino Battle Royale
Luchasaurus def. Jungle Boy, Scorpio Sky, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Tommy Dreamer, Orange Cassidy, Sonny Kiss, Sammy Guevara, Brandon Cutler, Billy Gunn, Dustin Thomas, Kip Sabian, Ace Romero, Marko Stunt, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy, Brian Pillman, Jr., Glacier, Sunny Daze & Michael Nakazawa

No title shot on the line, just bragging rights and momentum as up-and-coming stars try to stand out to the masses.

Buy-In Pre-Show Match #2
The Dark Order def. Best Friends

Not wanting to be in the battle royal, Best Friends lay out an open challenge answered by the former Super Smash Bros, who are flanked by evil looking minions.

Three-Way Match
Cima def. T-Hawk & El Lindaman

Following the match, SCU comes out to their shtick that they couldn't do on the pre-show. Giving props to Strong Hearts but not before disrespecting them, teasing a future match.

The Lucha Brothers def. Angélico & Jack Evans

MJF def. Shawn Spears
MJF steals the victory with underhanded tactics but Spears gets the last laugh by laying him out post-match.

12-Woman Tag Team Match
Aja Kong, Hikaru Shida, Riho, Ryo Mizunami, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura def. Team AEW (Brandi Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Awesome Kong, Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae & Allie)

Awesome Kong is revealed as Team AEW's final team member. Allie eats the pin, further building Brandi's vendetta against her.

Las Vegas Street Fight
Jimmy Havoc def. Joey Janela (with Penelope Ford)

Sadistic, bloody handshake afterwards.

The Young Bucks def. Cody & Dustin Rhodes
Constant miscommunication between Cody and Dustin costs them the match, leading to Cody slapping Dustin after the match and running away before his brother could respond, chasing behind Cody and Brandi. The Bucks, left in the ring, encounter The Lucha Bros for a staredown, reminding everyone of their rivalry over the AAA World Tag Team Championship.

Three-Way Match to crown the inaugural AEW World Championship
Chris Jericho def. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page

Jericho steals the pin on Omega from Page, using his new Judas Effect finisher on Kenny moments after Page hit his Buckshot Lariat and then knocking him out of the ring. Post-match promo sees Jericho denigrate the crowd along with Bret Hart, who presented the title. Jon Moxley debuts to interrupt the promo, laying Jericho out and then brawling with Omega to close the show.

Re: The Booking Game

Cyber Sunday 2006

Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Jeff Hardy(c) def. Johnny Nitro (with Melina)

Other options included Cage Match and 2 out of 3 Falls Match. Melina interferes but it back fires as The Charismatic Enigma retains.

World Tag Team Championship
Ric Flair & Carlito def. The Spirit Squad(c)

Getting on The Spirit Squad's bad side when trying to impress Torrie Wilson, Carlito needed backup. Carlito's possible partners also included Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes and Sgt. Slaughter. While those legends weren't picked, they made an impact by neutralizing the other three Squad members on the outside. Unsure if Flair could keep up or even gel with him, Carlito put his ego aside and showed Naitch respect following the match as well as the other legends.

Extreme Rules Match for the ECW World Championship
Big Show(c) def. The Sandman

ECW gets some shine as the brand's top title was defended in an extended squash match. Other options were Falls Count Anywhere Match and Tables Match. Sandman used his singapore cane to the best of his ability but Show retained without much trouble outside of a couple of visible scratches.

Lumberjack Match
Randy Orton def. Umaga (with Armando Alejandro Estrada)

With Umaga's undefeated streak infecting the RAW locker room in fear, 8 superstars were nominated as sacrifice. The Legend Killer won by a landslide vote and showed little fear. Viscera, World's Greatest Tag Team, Cryme Tyme, The Highlanders were at ringside as lumberjacks. Orton's confidence rose with each passing moment as he smartly used lumberjacks to his advantage to be human shields.

Randy took some punishment for an extended amount of time but was able to nail an RKO, proving The Samoan Bulldozer did have some weaknesses. But, the cover was never made due to Kevin Federline, sitting at ringside and heckling Orton until he was put in his place earlier, jumped the barricade and distracted The Legend Killer. After chasing the celeb away, Randy was forced inside the ring only to take a Samoan Spike for the loss.

15-Diva Battle Royal for the vacant WWE Women's Championship
Mickie James def. Lita, Melina, Maria, Victoria, Torrie Wilson, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, Candice Michelle, Michelle McCool, Ariel, Trinity, Layla, Kristal & Jillian Hall

Trish Stratus' retirement left a huge void in the women's division and the title without a champion. Divas from all three brands were invited to take their shot, bringing their vendettas with them. The biggest surprise had to be Maria making it to the final four, managing to eliminate veteran Victoria before Melina immediately dumped her out.

Melina proceeded to form a brief alliance with Lita, only to betray her. As she tried to toss out Ms. Rated-R, the former Women's Champion reversed it, allowing Mickie to knock Melina to the floor. The two favorites were left to have a mini-match of their own with James surprising Lita to become a 2-time champion. Lita was left shocked, possibly a bad omen for her man in the main event.

Tag Team Match with Eric Bischoff as Special Guest Referee
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch def. D-Generation X

Cade & Murdoch held their own against DX but ran out of gas. Just as a Pedigree was about to finish off Cade, Bischoff finally showed his true colors and refused to count. The Game then took a chair shot to the dome, taking him out. Shawn got in Bischoff's face and prepared some Sweet Chin Music only to be take down with Sweet and Sour, leading to his former student Cade pinning him for the tainted but monumental victory.

Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
King Booker(c) (with Queen Sharmell) defeated Chris Benoit & Kane

The King was stuck between a rock and a hard place with fans voting for him to defend against both of his possible challengers. Benoit, fresh from injury and eager to continue his long-standing rivalry with the champ, clashed with Kane, who had no qualms destroying everyone in his path to becoming champion.

Booker took advantage of this, using his title to smash Benoit in the head while he had Kane in the Crossface. Making use of the opportunity, The King nailed his Scissor Kick on The Big Red Machine to keep his gold. While he escaped two challengers tonight, the looming threat of Batista's never ending quest to reclaim The Big Gold Belt was present in the back of King Booker's mind.

"Last Chance" Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship
John Cena(c) def. Edge

WWE fans decided Hell in a Cell was a better instrument of painful finality for the defining feud of 2006 than Last Man Standing or "I Quit". Both men bled buckets to get the definitive victory but it came down to Lita, who was not expected to interfere. Following her loss from earlier, Edge lambasted his beau for putting her interests ahead of his and wanting to create individual success for herself in the first place. Demanded to know her place and stay in the back to avoid screwing things up, Lita was thought to help her man in a time when he surely needed it.

As The Rated-R Superstar was on the verge of being FU'd through a table in the corner, Lita entered the cell and pulled him down. Cena was too tired and beaten to lay a hand on Lita as usual, giving Edge the opening to spear The Champ through the table set up in a corner. Looking up at his love, Edge decided to embrace Lita before pinning Cena, as she had apparently seen the light.

And then Lita kicked him in the nuts.

Lita took the time to give Edge a tongue lashing, spelling the end of their relationship and her liberation from someone who turned her into a person she hated. Cena, flabbergasted, glanced at Lita to make sure this wasn't a ruse and proceed to nail an FU followed by the STFU. Edge tried to hang on but tapped out as Lita walked out, middle fingers up, of the cell and out of his life, with no more title opportunities for as long as Cena was champion. The war was over, Lita was Lita again and The Champ was still here.
