Had a look at the seats, the only one I would maybe consider voting Labour over Green would be Bristol North West as Labour only gained it from the Tories in 2017 and with around 5000 votes, everywhere else in Bristol seems to be fairly safe Labour though.

Bristol West saw the Greens come second in 2015 and was a Labour gain from the Lib Dems, so they could maybe get lucky there. It's always been touted as a potential second seat for the Greens if they ever win a second seat so if you're there then why not give them your vote if your heart says so

Re: UK General Election 2019

And so once again I'm stuck with my only ambition being that the Liberal Democrats and Labour collectively get their shit together and stop sniping at each other so damn much because ideologically I drift around somewhere between both and my own constituency has voted for both Lib Dems and Labour as 2nd choices to the fucking generic Tory cunt I'm always stuck with.

Probably going to end up voting Liberal Democrat again because Labour never did well down here until the Lib Dem vote collapsed in 2015 and I don't see the Labour bump as a result of that being sustainable given how Tory-centric this place is and how utterly fucking pitiful Jeremy Corbyn is.

Plus it's nice to do my tiny little part in trying to drive a fucking stake through the heart of the bullshit nonsense of two-party politics that's been choking our country's democracy to death forever but refuses to ever actually let it die.

So basically I'm going to spend the next month and a bit hearing Corbynites yell "buT iN cOaLitIoN tHoUGh!" whenever the Liberal Democrats dare to try and actually appeal to anyone because Labour diehards are fundamentalist cunts at this point who think they're entitled to everybody's support just by virtue of not being the Conservatives and think anyone daring to not love them and Dear Leader unconditionally are all just evil Tories in disguise.

Because fuck any sense of political nuance or reality.

Re: UK General Election 2019

I actually live in a weird seat right now. Up until recently it'd been the same Labour MP since the very early 90's. She then left Labour and joined Change UK I think but not sure if she's even standing. Not sure how much of an effect that will have or not.

Re: UK General Election 2019

Would usually vote SNP but I feel the objectives right now with Brexit put the ultimate goal in murky water and it feels like an empty vote. I'll research what difference it would make long term.

Fuck the English parties. Labour and especially Lib Dems have wasted 5 years when they could have been reforming their party and leaders to give people a strong alternative.

Hoping NI increases Labour seats because fuck the DUP.

Labour and most of the mainland GB parties don't stand in Northern Ireland. The alternative there would be Sinn Fein (who don't take their seats) or the SDLP, who are usually aligned with Labour. There's also the UUP and Alliance but they're more aligned with the Tories and Lib Dems respectively (or were) I believe.

Yeah the UK has a very weird party system, but I guess it's not as bad as the US party system, would probably work better if we had PR voting like AMS or STV for House of Commons elections and proper Lords reform.

Re: UK General Election 2019

Now Farage pulls out half of his candidates to vouch for a Conservative Party led by BJ whose Brexit deal is 98% Theresa May's deal.

Oh, and the only reason the Brexit Party exists is that Farage doesn't trust the Tories to deliver a proper Brexit.

Hum... geezers will "geeze"...

Yup, I'm a nurse so most of my fb is nurse stuff and I routinely shut down any nurse who says they're voting tory. Most of them just go, yeah but I can't vote for corbyn. Sooner he's gone, the better.
