I think we'll look back and realize many corporations falsely propagated good messages to the public. Many social concerns like police brutality, racism, cheating politicians, sexism, feminism, general discrimination, white power, etc...were given decisive attention in order for the news to stay relevant. The 2010's are arguably the first decade in which the most people ever had access to the internet and social media. The public wasn't paying for news media when it was so easily obtainable for free and we saw the the news media react in horrific ways to stay relevant. These issues always existed, but in order to stay relevant, the news media ramped up issues and fabricated division and segregation that wasn't always true. TV was dying and desperation showed.

However, despite that negative view, I do think the world going forward will improve. At least people, not the physical world. We might all melt and drown in so many years.

Explosion of:

- Online shopping,
- Self check-out tills,
- Antidepressants and benzodiazepines,
- Social media intolerance,
- The climate-changing

but the silver lining was I got laid a lot this past decade so it wasn't that bad... but yeah fuck this world is going nuts.

isnt that just so true? I was watching collateral last night, and he said

LA, 17 million people. If this were a country, it'd be the fifth biggest economy in the world and nobody knows each other. I read about this guy, gets on the MTA here, dies. Six hours he's riding the subway before anybody notices his corpse doing laps around L.A., people on and off sitting next to him. Nobody notices.

such a realistic representation of the world we live in.

its quite sad how disconnected we these days, no-one really knows each other, the world is getting a lonelier place by the day tbh. Social media keeps people connected whilst also discouraging them from really bothering with each other, chances are most people don't bother really keeping in contact with people because "hey, doesnt matter, we are friends on facebook".There is no real consequence to not keeping in touch compared to years ago where people could literally disappear if you didnt keep in contact.

same with relationships, people are so quick to drop someone because temptation is only a click away, there is so much distrust around because of social media. Everyone is connected to everyone, there is no barriers. People can flirt with each other without even really admitting it. You dont have to physically pick up a phone or walk up to someone to speak to them. Liking someones picture would be called flirting now, Its all so passive.

some days, I think it would probably be the best thing for us as a species if some EMP wiped out our electronics. People would certainly start interacting with each other again and treat each other with value.

computers have been one of the greatest inventions of anybody's lifetime.......yet its possibly also one of the worst. Society is dying in many ways. Its really no secret why people are so unhappy in this day and age.

It's really sad. The less people interact in person, the less we see each other as people. It's way easier to be mean and nasty to people over the internet, as we've all seen with Twitter and stuff like that,
