My father took me to see The Exorcist when I was 6 years old. My mother didn't like Horror Films and my dad said it was too scary to see alone.

I had never been to a movie theater before. My dad asked me if I wanted to go to the movies. I said OK.

The Exorcist is my favorite film of all-time as nothing could ever follow that experience. I wish I could get that frightened again by watching a film.

I had the best dad ever.

I saw The Exorcist with my father when I was six as well. Eerie.

(Not theatrically, though. That would not happen until 1.5 years ago.)

Fear is like a drug. I admit to being scared shitless, having nightmares, and vomiting after seeing The Exorcist so young. But when I shook it off it was like Chasing The Dragon trying to relive that fear again wanting more.

Completely agree. Scared and scarred, to be sure, but that exhilaration ultimately becomes desirable.
