ten years isn't a large punishment?

if they had been able to prove her actions intentional, i'd agree. but the way i see it if the victim's family can forgive her then so can everyone else. a harsher sentence isn't going to bring him back.

At least he received some justice in the end. May he rest in peace.

just a depressing case tbh. sad he lost his life while doing his own thing

Hearing you -- in my sleep
Feeling you -- your cadence seeps
Whispering in flashback -- the spectres of your memories

Her pulling the trigger was intentional

She didnt go to that apartment with the intention of killing anyone

But in an instant in the heat of the moment she did make the decision "I'm gonna ice this guy"

And she should not have made that decision. It was the wrong decision. It wasn't justified by the circumstances. She didnt make a mistake at the factory and a coworker got crushed by some heavy machinery as a result. She shot a man. He died. It was entirely her responsibility

Ten year sentence is more like 4-5 years served. Maybe less. Even if it was the full 10 that is not enough for how much she done fucked up

There has been an AEWakening... have you felt it?

The mark wars have begun again

DAMN THAT TRACK IS HOT

THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE (IS BACK) (AGAIN)

If you own a gun or become a police officer, you choose to take on the responsibility that if you make a mistake, you could go to jail. If you don't want the added pressure in your life, then don't do it.

Re: Cop forgets where she lives, shoots & kills someone. Key witness is also murdered.

so we now know that joshua brown has a criminal record. he was convicted of five crimes in five different cities across texas including drug possession, evading arrest, theft and owning an illegal firearm.

in novemeber of last year he was shot at outside of a dallas strip club. his friend was murdered but brown's own attorney revealed that - per brown himself - he believed he himself was the target.

Brown believed he was the target in the November 23 strip club shooting and felt there were “still people out there who wanted to do him harm,” according to attorney Lee Merritt, who represents Brown’s family.
so yea... this guy was in the streets for several years and was clearly up to no good. at the very least it allows for the possibility that this was a legitimate drug related murder.

just wondering if any of you remaining conspiracy theorists would like to weigh in.

You mean I missed the post earlier where you again made it about racism instead of police corruption? Nope. Didn't miss that.

"Of course this is about police corruption". Shoulda stopped there. You lost the argument when you continued with "using their racist and oppressive system and media against Black men".

You're the one making this about race. I was pissed off because a corrupt police force killed a witness for testifying against cops. I saw one of my fellow human beings being slaughtered for the crime of standing up to authority.

You saw a black man get killed. I'm a white guy in your eyes, so why should I care? I am not one of "you". Fuck it, the cops didn't kill a white guy. No reason for me to be upset about it.

Or...

We are all fellow human beings and "race" is fiction. It's an ancient form of tribalism that humans have not evolved beyond yet.

You don't defeat racism by responding with racism and you don't bring people together by dividing them up by race then telling them they should all get along. What ya do is end the concept of race and stop dividing people up because they have different amounts of melanin in their skin.

You want to see "black men" no longer gunned down in the street because of their skin color? How about we stop viewing them as the "other" in the first place.

This can and will continue to happen to any Black man in America at any moment. This is our reality.
