Is AEW equipped to handle major injury to their "top stars"?

So after the Moxley injury which luckily is not major and not sure about the Rey Fenix situation I started thinking about how they need a couple more major known stars to fill In that void which we dont wanna discuss. And that is if anyone is majorly hurt..

They have MJF and Page and others like Pac, but I really feel they need to beef up that main roster asap especially in time for TNT. Maybe they have already signed some though and just have not introduced these stars, one can wish! Either way with a limited heavy top roster, they cant wait for major injury to plague them

Re: Is AEW equipped for major Injuries?

They're new. Not even on TV yet. You're asking such a generalized question there's no way to answer it.

Here's what you should ask: How will the recent injuries impact AEW going forward?

They'll likely reevaluate their freedom of contracts. They'll recognize why WWE doesn't allow their wrestlers to do other shows. It could mean the ending of partnerships, at least when TV starts.

If even that - i mean, wwe works their guys 255 days a year

Injuries happen, exclusive or not

Lest we forget Mox was out for a year with the same injury while in wwe

Yeah, but WWE's roster is huge. AEW lacks big names. Moxley was making big money risking himself in Japan and indies, while AEW was getting nothing. That's stupid. AEW is going down with this kind of contracts.

Too much drama man - ‘going down’

Please.

Pac is replacing mox - quite capable

And their bolstering their roster, they said as much

They’ll have a plan for Lucha bros too

Its unfortunate they happened outside of aew but we all know that they will be much more exclusive after they properly launch.

It happens like everyone says regardless if it happens in aew or not

"If you want it bad enough you'll find a way, if you don't want it bad enough you'll find an excuse."

Thumbs up Re: Is AEW equipped for major Injuries?

They just need to make new stars to deal with this and the same 3-6 guys can't stay in the main event scene forever. ROH did when they started and AEW will if they care enough.

Moxley is a former WWE champion. Pac is a former WWE cruiserweight champion. There's no comparisson.

Lucha Brothers are the AAA tag team champions. If Fenix is out, the ladder match loses all the hype and this is/was supposed to be the end of the feud.

The ppv may still be decent. They are crowning the first AEW champion, but there is now way I can see this as competition for WWE. They have the TV deal, but the roster is not enough.
Braylyt likes this.

ROH never competed with WWE. Not even close. AEW needs to do much more than what ROH did.

It doesn't matter. They're still going to have to make new stars regardless and that's what they're gonna do.
