AEW should put the title on him at their November PPV and ride him as far as they can.

If healthy, I think he's winning the AEW Title off Jericho in Philly on October 16th.

I mean, he's not a megastar.

But he's a very popular wrestler right now and I am not surprised they've sold plenty of tickets with him on the card. He made his star as bright as they allowed it to be in the WWE and taking that to another North American promotion was always going to be big news and get fans interested in something new.

Hope his injury isn't serious because if it is, it'd be stupid to put the belt on him. However if it isn't serious, it'd be great if they can ride the Moxley momentum on live television and just have him cut promos and lay his attentions clear if he can't actually wrestle like the WWE did with Austin back in 97 after his neck was broken.

I mean he's the reason I've tuned into AEW so far so I tend to agree with Big Dave here.

He'll be champion by the end of the year, without question. I still don't think it will be him vs Jericho on the 16th. I think they'll do Moxley vs Jericho on their November PPV, and Moxley takes the title there.

The Oct 16 match is just meant to get Jericho a successful title defense.

Meltzer is such a propoganda machine.

They would have sold out if the match was Omega vs the no legged wrestler.

Moxley was at Fyter Fest, and was the main event, and that didn't sell out, so this megastar BS shouldn't even be a conversation

Jon Moxley is a star, and a main event player, but when you put out terms like megastar and obviously exaggerate his popularity, it makes things tough, because then you have a bunch of people trying to bring normalcy to an asinine argument.

Fact is that Mox is in a perfect spot for them, he is a name that people can relate to, and a guy they can put against some of their bigger names to draw attention to guys like Omega and Cody,.

But megastar? GTFOH with that

They aren't doing a title change in Philly, that would be stupid on so many levels.

You don't proclaim how you take your title seriously, and how the prestige it brings, and then have the champ lose it on the 2nd show.

RoH did that, and Xavier never recovered, you keep the belt on the first guy for at least 6 months, because that is the right thing to do, you have to protect the talent.

He's not a megastar yet. But I think he will be 6 months to year from now after being on TNT every week.

I mean Jon Moxley looks and acts like a megastar but he isn't one yet. If only WWE used him the way they should have maybe they wouldn't be having problems with the ratings. Imagine pushing this geek gymnast Rollins instead of an actual wrestler like Moxley. Then again Moxley doesn't belong in a PG environment so maybe its a good thing they didn't push him and he left

Fyter Fest drew a bigger crowd than the last time WWE went to the same venue with John Cena in the main event. It was also sold out online. There were a number of tickets allotted to those who attended the CEO gaming event (who weren't all wrestling fans.)

I think Dave used the term megastar to outline his drawing power in 2019. He's obviously not The Rock or Austin, but within the context of the industry in 2019, he's a huge star.

I love Mox but I don't know about megastar. Guy had potential to be a megastar at one point and but it didn't work out. Can he still be one now? Remains to be seen.

I do agree about him getting the title off Jericho. Let Jericho get a few title defenses over up-and-coming stars (pick out of Pentagon, Fenix, Darby, Sonny, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, but not all of them) and then Mox takes it by Spring 2020 at the latest on PPV.
