Will AEW Run a 50k+ Seat Stadium Show in 2020?

We would've all said the thought would be crazy earlier this year, but based on the demand for ALL OUT, and the demand for every TV show, it seems like it's certainly a possibility for AEW to run a major football stadium for a big show, or at the very least a baseball stadium.

I doubt they are going to do that this year, they are only going to be running 1 more PPV, and I imagine they will go for a 20K seat arena, but could they run a major stadium show seating 50K+, or is that still to big of a stretch?

It really all boils down to how hugely TV is received, given that they got an obscene amount of demand for ALL OUT, you would think TV would only heighten that(if the TV is high quality of course).

The got to get a feel for the audience first and really hook them in to get the numbers.

I'm glad they are starting with smaller venues.

Depends on what their "Wrestlemania" type event is, and depends how they fare over the course of the year. The Bucks said it themselves, it's no problem putting on a PPV, it's like booking a super show, the challenge is going to be once they get on TV to get everyone captivated and tied in on a week by week basis.

Depending on the card they probably could. What they're doing right now by booking smaller arenas is a good strategy. I'd assume they'd be hosting the event at TIAA Bank Field.

I don't think they will try running football stadiums in the US. They tend to want to stick to the traditional PPV arenas, such as MSG.

I could see them running a show at the Tokyo-Dome if they ever do a show in Japan.

I think they keep it simple the first year that way they have the biggest possible sample size to go off of. A year of shows they'll have peaks and valleys and be able to get a true idea of their audience and where the most fans are. They'll go slightly bigger maybe a 20k-30k arena for their Mania type show.

AEW All Out III 2021 in a stadium would be cool, it would also be like Wrestlemania in the sense that the third event is the one which makes the move to stadiums. Doing it in a big football stadium next year might be too big a step, having their big PPV in MSG and it selling it out would be a cool goal to have imo.

I'd also like to see them run in baseball stadiums, would love them to have a cool unique set like WM19 had. Skydome in Toronto would also be cool for an AEW stadium PPV show.

I hope they do small shows. Demand over supply. Keep running costs low, less chance of papering and the tarp can stay in WWE.

and also being able to say “we sold out in 5 minutes” brings buzz - something wwe can’t do.

No point blowing their load too early.

Smaller venues for a few years is smart for business. You want to keep that demand. Keep putting on a great must see TV show that people want to bust a gut getting a ticket for. Then eventually, for their huge PPV with some huge storylines and feuds, throw out a big record breaking arena for them.

Don't see that happening anytime soon and I hope they won't jump the gun based on the overwhelmingly positive success thus far
