Style of [some] Wrestling & Middle Fingers
So, to put this out there, I just wanna say I'm really enjoying what AEW are doing, but there's just a couple of things I think AEW should try their best to tone down on..
The amount of middle fingers in a show was somewhat borderline obnoxious. I completely "get it", but when overdone, it somewhat takes away from when you actually see one. Way too many middle fingers.
Also, the style of wrestling with some wrestlers...
I know that this generation of wrestling is heavily focused on crowd reaction, but I felt watching certain matches that too many times, the illogical thing is done to get a reaction from the crowd as opposed to winning a match.
Wrestling is a combat sport, and whilst I'm aware that in order to get a good show, you need to do things that will get a reaction from the crowd, but things such as Adam Page doing a backward moonsault to the outside without looking to see if an opponent is there whilst having a bad leg makes no sense and takes away me out of the experience.
I guess the last point is less a thing on AEW itself and more to do with the ideologies of wrestlers, but I feel AEW have the ability to change that. It's cool seeing the flippy shit, but too much nonsensical moves take away from the fact that in combat, your aim is to hurt your opponent enough so they can't continue.
Oh, and stop mentioning or implying mentions at WWE and the patting themselves on the back. Other than that, all is cool.
I dunno, but yeah.
I'm looking forward to the TV shows, but just couple thoughts.
