AEW's PPV themes and presentation value.

I'm suprised no one has talked about the great themes AEW PPV's are shaping up to have. DoN had a very strong gambling/Vegas theme and their entire event showcased that well. Fyter Fest is themed as a fighting game and wrestling celebration akin to Fyre Fest, and so the look is very similar to that...

NOW we come to All Out, which has a very gritty, serious, almost outlaw look to it. It's the spiritual successor to All In, and it feels like it's a big deal just from the poster alone. I think this is a VERY important reason why AEW has the "Cool" factor to them. Each event seems to have a unique feel to it that makes them stand out from one another, not to mention the way each poster us set up to look imposing and big time.

Just take this comparison for example:

With this one poster, AEW communicate the feeling of the event far better than WWE usually do as of late.

Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Re: AEW's PPV themes and presentation value.

Everyone and everything feels involved and important in the AEW poster.

From those in the main event and fighting for the title to where it's held and the importance of the Sears Centre to the fans. Helps that it's a very simple design that isn't over complicated yet gives off the feel of what pro wrestling should be about, it's not over produced and glitzy and glamorous.

I genuinely cannot wait for the event itself and the "Road to All Out" videos which should help crank up the hype even more.

I am sold with that kind of presentation from AEW, they would always match the theme with what's about to happen that it feels like some kind of a movie poster instead. But I dig it.

Loved the theme and presentation of DON. Like that theme got stuck in my head for a bit after the show lol. Hopefully they keep making decent themes for their shows - seems like they plan to.

I think that AEW poster is cool, but I also think you're being quite harsh to WWE posting a picture of Corbin and Rollins. While the two men staring seriously down the barrel of the camera is over done (not just in WWE but also UFC and boxing) WWE can style them quite nicely when they can be bothered, which is the key point.

Marketing to adults and not babies. That being said tge poster you posted with wwe wrestlers on an AEW poster proves so much of how lame even wrestlers look from wwe. That entirely changed the look of the pster cus they look so lame and soft and that red belt is beyond ugly

Re: AEW's PPV themes and presentation value.

the poster designs are so edgy

Despite what you may have heard about so-called "smark marks" and the "IWC" some of us are actually here to help. All you have to do is ask.

Re: AEW's PPV themes and presentation value.

Turner's hands were obvious at DoN. For the first time since '98, a rival wrestling company kitted out their arena in a way that looked slicker than WWE's.

WWE jumped the production shark long ago. Too much. Too much mood lighting, too much LED stuck to everything. Even the fucking ring posts now. It's too bright, kitsch and gaudy. It's suffocating and amplifies the feeling of soft ass corporate PC shit.

DoN's production values impressed me more than anything else. Just right. It looked like money without looking like fucking America's Got Talent. Somebody who knew what they were doing directed the floor there.
