You can't push everyone at the same time. He was just NXT UK champion for what seemed like forever. Let him be build up and get more recognition now in the upper-mid card.
TUE have all the belts. Ciampa is back. Balor is back. Gargano is still there. Guys like Riddle and Lee are on the rise. Dream is above him on the pecking order when he's back.
He's great and he's still keeping plenty busy. And he's been pushed since he came into the company almost 3 years ago. But again, it's not his time to be on top now.
He was UK Champion for 600 + days, he's not going to jump right into the title picture in NXT. He's still relevant, if Cole is still champion after he's done with Ciampa & Balor then expect Dunne to challenge him.
He's an excellent wrestler and was worthy of the NXT Uk belt, maybe not for as long as it was, but worthy nonetheless. I don't think he has a whole lot of character or promo ability to be the top guy though. Especially with people like Cole, Ciampa and Balor all floating about
He will get his chance eventually, I'm a fan of his work but he carried Damien to a passable match on NXT he's fine having filler feuds at the moment while we have Ciampa, Balor, Cole in the ME.
I think Dunne is just a little lost right now guy was so intertwined with the UK Championship its almost like he is a different person without it.
I am digging the feud with Dain and now Priest so that should add to a good match at Takeover between the three
