Re: How would you book SummerSlam?

Universal Championship/WWE Championship
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (c)

-Time to get one set of champs again. Seth beats Brock at WrestleMania and insists he defends the belt against Roman Reigns, who beats him (death by his own sword). Kofi beats Bryan a few times, but then Xavier Woods throws in the towel for Kofi one match and joins up with Bryan as a loose ally as "smarter than everyone" guy who sees Bryan's vision and is sick of being overlooked. Roman vs. Bryan is announced as the unification match.

WWE Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

-Becky wins both Women's Titles at WrestleMania and then takes them into SummerSlam against Shayna, avenging Ronda's loss at WrestleMania.

Intercontinental Championship/United States Championship
Seth Rollins (c) vs. AJ Styles (c)

-Balor wins the IC Title from Lashley at Mania, but then Seth ends up beating Finn for the belt, "cheating" the fans out of Balor/Styles, despite this itself being a highly anticipated match.

WWE Tag Team Championship
Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c)

-I had to think of a heel team to go against Owens & Zayn in Toronto. I had The Revival, but eh, let's go with Rusev & Nakamura so that they're doing something.

Triple Threat Match
Kofi Kingston vs. Big E vs. Xavier Woods

-Neither Kofi nor Big E turn heel, but they're thrown into this "dream match." Rowan is banned from ringside, but Woods promises to outsmart them both and win. Maybe something is dangled in front of Kofi and Big E so they agree to compete against each other.

19 Years of TLC Match
The Hardy Boyz vs. The Usos vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet

-SummerSlam is the birth place of TLC. I don't know what you hang at the top of it (maybe a tag team MITB shot?), but if you're going to run with Aleister Black & Ricochet as a tag team, then why not place Ricochet in this sort of environment?

Women's Tag Team Championship
Sasha Banks & Bayley (c) vs. Kairi Sane & Io Shirai

-This doesn't need much explanation. The current champs against possibly the best women's team WWE has access to.

Tag Team Challenge
Brock Lesnar & Samoa Joe vs. Luke Harper & Rey Mysterio

-Joe ends up beating Dominick and Rey to a pulp, bringing Harper back into the fold. He stands up for Rey, wanting Joe to fight someone his own size. They have some matches around the bend, trading wins. Rey returns and is Harper's tag team partner. Brock is drafted to SmackDown and suspended for beating the piss out of someone. Brock returns and Heyman announces he is putting together the two toughest men in WWE. Harper & Rey are standing up to them.

Impromptu Match - Open Challenge
Andrade vs. John Cena

-Andrade is frustrated that he isn't getting more opportunities in WWE. He's won the US Title from Rey Mysterio (who wins it from Joe), but lost it to AJ Styles and wasn't given a rematch despite Vega having it written into his contract. He declares himself the "True United States Champion" and gets his own belt made. He starts calling out John Cena and says he will be at SummerSlam to see if Cena shows up (here's hoping his schedule is open). Cena does show up and Andrade beats him here. There's real potential in that guy.

Singles Match
Finn Balor vs. Randy Orton

-Finn misses out on his match with Rollins and feels cheated. Orton shows up and tells Balor that no one is entitled to a spot and you've got to damn well earn it. He beat AJ Styles at WrestleMania (in my world) and now he's going to beat the other Ballet Club leader at SummerSlam. Orton has also teased putting together a heel group with Adam Cole being his right-hand guy -- another former Club leader that has seen the light and Orton's way of doing business.

Pre-Show
Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano

-Cole has aligned himself with heel Orton. Gargano can still be floating around as a babyface. These two can have a cracker before the PPV starts and allow them to test out their equipment and stuff.

Pre-Show Women's Tag Team Showcase
Whoever vs. Whoever

-They're going to fly the rest of the women in, so they'll probably want them to do something. I hate Battle Royals, they mean nothing. Have a bunch of babyfaces against a bunch of heels and hope this goes well. Team Charlotte vs. Team Asuka would be fine. Charlotte, Rhea Ripley, Mickie James & Beth Phoenix (turning heel) against Asuka, Toni Storm, Naomi & Natalya works fine. Simple shit with hopefully few blown spots. Put the heels over, since Charlotte is your star and this will probably lead to matches for an Evolution PPV around the bend.
