:chefcurry was phenomenal was he not? And :dray was the player who won them that game. He would not allow them to lose against Portland. :lol

Check out the NBA thread for more Warriors-centric thoughts of mine. :lol

    Hope all is well! :)

Yes, I concur with all that you say. It seemed like Philadelphia was at death's door and Jimmy Butler saves them with that mad dash layup off of the somewhat stunning (though, considering how tired he was, perhaps not) mised second free throw from Kawhi Leonard. It seemed like a perfect storm for the Sixers to "steal" it after that abysmal 3- or 4-minute run down the stretch in crunch time where they kept shooting themselves in the foot. It was not to be. Rather lucky for Toronto to a considerable extent.

Trailblazers are actually likable. Lillard is a Bay Area, Oakland kid, so that's cool. He loves to light the Dubs up.

Have no animus toward Toronto, and Milwaukee seems cool... Though they must be defeated if necessary for the WARRIORS to take it all once more. :chefcurry

Sixers will probably return stronger after all of this. Though Embiid's continual health concerns do remain a dark cloud over the franchise at this point.

Sorry about the ending to the series. It was a fun series. Best game of the series, I think, although it was also--not surprisingly--the grittiest.

I thought so. :lol Gotta get that sleep, the two of us. :p :lol

:curry needs to quit reachin'! :lmao Though it is exasperating while watching these huge games as a Warriors fan. :curry3

:lol Could very well be the Bucks.

Enjoy that video I posted on the Warriors' defense, by this fellow online known as "Coach Dan." Highly informative. :dray

The Sixers, though, definitely present a host of matchup problems for the Warriors. Especially with :boogie now being out. One of the big matchups he would be used for would be just to put a big body on Embiid.

Iguodala saves himself for the playoffs. His regular season statistics are only so informative. Not contending that he's some top-25 player today, but, frankly, he's kind of playing like it now that we're in the playoffs. :lol Especially against the Rockets. He's been quintessential and irreplaceable against Houston. Partly because he knows that team like the back of his hand, particularly the Rockets' top players. Partly for a number of other reasons. But Iguodala with the Splash Bros., KD and Green does constitute the Hampton 5 for a reason. It's the Warriors' best lineup ("Death Lineup") by a mile. :lol

No worries, my friend. :p :) We were all "nascent NBA fans" at some point or another. :lol

Speaking of the NBA, you should check out the NBA thread because I have posted a number of times in there thanks to the Warriors' playoffs run thus far, as well as discussing the 76ers' latest playoff win over the Raptors. Or did I already say this to you? This is what happens when one needs sleep in the worst way. :lmao

Messed that up a bit. :lol Meant to say that Iggy and :kd3 would trade off a lot on Simmons, Harris and Ennis III. And there'd be a lot of Iguodala-on-Butler, too. Klay would defend Redick a bunch of times, as well, and I could see the Warriors having Curry be the "floater," especially if he refuses to stay out of foul trouble all postseason long. :lmao

I think Kerr would not allow those matchups to take place. It would go something like:

Green on Embiid (and no doubt, Green would be bullied a whole host of times--potentially the greatest challenge of Draymond's career)

    KD/Iguodala on Simmons

    Klay on Butler

    Curry on Redick

    Iguodala/KD on Simmons

Sixers could possibly employ the strategy the Rockets are, and have for ages now, in attempting to switch the Warriors' defense, forcing a Curry-defending-Harden (or in this case Curry-on-Simmons) scenario, but the Warriors would doubtless attempt to counter that in as many cases as possible, because unquestionably Simmons driving against Curry would be problematic. Curry's a superb help-defender, only so-so as an on-ball defender. Although Curry's had his moments on-ball, too.

Kawhi Leonard when he's right is definitely a top-5 player in the world today, no question about that. Agreed about Embiid's health being a question mark for the playoffs, but at least he looked excellent in that pivotal Game 3. One of the things that makes him so dangerous is that, as a weapon, he can hit the three, or get down rolling, and defensively he is able to cover guards with relative ease. No one else like him in the NBA.

The Sixers' greatest weakness is their mediocre-for-a-strong team bench. Yet because it's the playoffs, its importance is reduced.

Simmons is annoying. :lol Would definitely present a matchup issue for the Warriors, as would Embiid. Philadelphia is potent in myriad ways. Even in those two regular season confrontations the 76ers' defense against the Warriors was consistently impressive.

Someone abused his power by giving me a 2 week ban then made it perma when I sent him a pm letting him know it was an abuse of power. Headliner found out and reversed the decision. I didn't even know I had been perma'd until he had LC message me on Twitter letting me know I had been unbanned. I was done with the place but I'll do some posting since he was so kind as to go out his way to unban me and let me know. Whaddyagonnado. :shrug
