Dean Ambrose challenges WWE World Champion AJ Styles for the championship at SmackDown LIVE’s next brand-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, on Sunday, Dec. 4 in a TLC Match. And The Lunatic Fringe may just have James Ellsworth to thank for it.
The title match was officially announced by SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon on the Nov. 1 edition of Talking Smack, mere minutes after Ambrose defeated Styles in a non-title contest which stipulated that a victory would result in him becoming the No. 1 contender.
Though The Lunatic Fringe had been adamant that Ellsworth, who accidentally cost Ambrose a similar top-contender opportunity against Styles just one week before, stay far away from ringside, the lovable underdog couldn’t resist trying to make things right with Ambrose. Ellsworth may have defied Ambrose’s wishes, but his involvement nonetheless proved beneficial for the unhinged Superstar, paving the way for a big win over the WWE World Champion.
Now the stage is set for another highly anticipated showdown between The Lunatic Fringe and The Phenomenal One, this time at WWE TLC 2016. The two Superstars have been at each other’s throats for months, and the intensity has only ratcheted up since Styles won the WWE World Title from Ambrose in September.
Who will leave Dallas as SmackDown LIVE’s top dog? Can Styles fend off Ambrose’s relentless pursuit of the title, or will The Lunatic Fringe brawl his way back to championship glory by literally climbing the ladder to championship glory? Find out at WWE TLC, which airs live on WWE Network Sunday, Dec. 4, at 8 ET/5 PT.
Re: Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles - WWE World HeavyWeight Championship (TLC Match)
This is going to be insane.
Not only due to their chemistry but because Ambrose tends to excel in gimmick matches and AJ Styles is involved. I think AJ Styles wins this setting up his feud going into the new year and Wrestlemania with John Cena - I just wonder where Ambrose goes from here once this match is over.

Re: AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose - WWE World Championship (TLC Match)
Again anther SDL main event PPV match that already has the RAW brand beat so far from Styles/Cena @ SSLam (real SDL main event that night), Ambrose/Styles @ Backlash, Cena/Styles/Ambrose @ No Mercy now @ TLC Ambrose/Styles TLC #Glorious
Re: AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose - WWE World Championship (TLC Match)
This is a good way to end it for now. I say for now because I love these 2 in the ring together but you need to take a break from these two facing each other.
They have great chemistry and I’m interested to see what AJ pulls out in a ladder match.
Re: AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose - WWE World Championship (TLC Match)
Styles retains here :eva2 , i think he will have the belt t till wm in which Cena will have his revenge an get finally: the win against aj , win the feud and get the 16x world champ , i think there is a big chance to be the wm maint event due their overness :eva2
Since the champion is probably losing to Taker at Royal Rumble, I wouldn't mind either winning. I'm slightly in favor of seeing AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker, but Dean Ambrose vs. The Undertaker sounds very good too.
I know Ellsworth is going to be involved in the finish of the match whether he helps Ambrose, accidentally costs Ambrose, turns on Ambrose, etc.
But, I hope he stays out of the way until the finish of the match to let these two tear the house down, which I know they will with their chemistry. I hope they have some unique spots planned because they will be the last match on the card after a Ladder, Chairs, Table (probably), and No DQ match so the fans are going to be burnt out on gimmick matches by the time we get to the main event.
AJ should retain, and then move on to another, fresher opponent. That might be SDL's biggest flaw TBH. Their talent pool is so small that we end up with the same feuds dragging on WAY longer than they should (Miz and Ziggler are another example of this).
