Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose - Intercontinental Title Match

Kevin Owens insists the historical significance of the Intercontinental Title begins and ends with his current championship reign. Dean Ambrose will look to make Owens’ reign just that — history — when he challenges him for the title at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs.

The Lunatic Fringe earned the opportunity at WWE TLC by defeating Tyler Breeze and four-time Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler in an action-packed No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match on the Thanksgiving edition of SmackDown. Just days before that, Ambrose topped Owens, too, defeating the self-proclaimed prizefighter in the semifinal round of the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at Survivor Series.

Will the result be the same at WWE TLC, when Owens’ title is at stake? KO has previously suggested that while Ambrose’s crazed persona is nothing more than a façade, his own body of work is replete with authentic and unhinged acts of lunacy. Yet, Ambrose — an unpredictable, unrelenting tornado of punches and kicks inside the ring — has proven he will not shy away from extreme measures when he deems them necessary.

Both Superstars are likely to be bruised and battered following their showdown at WWE TLC, but which one will leave Boston’s TD Garden with the Intercontinental Title? The answer will reveal itself at WWE’s demolition derby, WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, on Sunday, Dec. 13, only on WWE Network.
wonder if its straight up or stipulation to be added

Re: Spoiler: InterContinental Title Match Set For TLC

Looks straight up. Ambrose already beat Owens at SS. Possible stipulations to be added.

It'll most likely have a stipulation added later but I think Kevin Owens is definitely retaining.

WTF. I can't believe they are booking this match. It's a lose-lose situation. Both guys need to go over. Vintage WWE.

Probably Owens retains by fuckery.

I guess this is just because they don't know what to do with both of them, so let's have a filler match!. LOL. It's going to be good, but well. It's a reminder on me why I'm not going to watch till the Rumble.

This is sorta weird to me cos Dean's already beaten Owens by pinfall - if he doesn't beat him again at TLC with the title on the line, it just makes him look weak. You'd think since he's already beaten him once, he could do it again.

I think it's obvious who I want to win this match :D Owens is a great wrestler, but it's Dean, of course I'm gonna pick him :lol

I just hope if Dean somehow manages to win this, people won't complain and say Owens is buried. Somebody's already said Owens is buried cos Dean beat him at SS lol. Owens has to lose sometimes...

As much as neither Owens or Ambrose should be in the mid-card title situation, this could be an excellent PPV match. I'm praying they make this the ladder match.

With the lack of talent atm, this is probably going to be the second attraction on the show. It's not a bad spot for either guy.

Y U DO DIS WWE?

Seriously, Ambrose can't afford yet another loss and Owens is on a great run with the IC title, they both need a win.

I can't decide who I want to win either, on one hand Dean would make an awesome IC champ (still think he should have won it at Fast Lane after the awesome video package they did,) but on the other hand I really really badly want to see Owens/Zayn for the title at WM32. I guess I'll go for a KO win.

Hopefully it becomes a ladder match because it's relatively easy to protect the loser.

I reckon it'll be prob be a straight up match, which is sorta boring though. I want a stipulation!

KO has had a few high profile wins this year; the first win over Cena, getting the title from Ryback. Ambrose has yet to have a high profile win at all since the Shield break-up. I'd say Dean needs the win more. As for the KO Survivor Series match that was merely a teaser, I'd like to think their match at TLC will be a show stealer. This feud was simmering right before Seth got hurt and was merely sidetracked by the tournament. Hoping that WWE lets them both shine during the build to this match.

:ti That's not something to brag about that's for sure.

This will likely steal the show, although Reigns/Sheamus showed promise on Raw a few months back.

I would rather see Ambrose win, he needs it, or else talk about a demotion. Being so close to being world champ only to lose to the midcard champ one month later. But I'd rather see him continuing a program with Reigns and fight at TLC as the main event picture needs someone like him.

So Ambrose wins and buries Owens in the process. Either way both are screwed, who ever wins. Best finish is DQ, and continuing the feud.

That's what the ladder, tables matches are for. I think Owens needs to retain here, he lost already 2 times and he's just getting comfortable as an IC champ. Oh well we'll see.
