I find it strange that Punk isn't part of the "best for business" storyline. In fact, he's very conspicuously NOT a part of it, to the point where even in 11 on 3 matches, Punk, who is somewhere between 1st and 4th in terms of overall popularity, isn't even one of the 11. On top of that, WWE is well aware of how much people have wanted to see a major rivalry between Punk and Bryan. Do you think WWE is saving Punk vs Bryan for the road to Wrestlemania? I mean they could keep Orton vs Bryan going that whole time, or they could end Orton vs Bryan sometime around the Royal Rumble, leaving Bryan vs Punk for mania. What do you guys think?
A cell match between Punk and Heyman would make sense given the feud they have going, but the fact the match would probably suck makes me really hope that doesn't happen. I don't think they're going to anyway.
WWE wouldn't have this match main eventing Wrestlemania but it may well happen about the third from last match. Wrestlemania needs a bit of everything including a wrestling masterclass for the purists, and who better to provide it than Bryan and Punk. I imagine the main event, the main seller, will involve some combination of Cena/Undertaker/Rock/Lesnar, but Punk vs Bryan will be the better match and a great secondary main event from WWE's perspective.
- It would be funny if after that match happens and the buy-rates come back and we're reading a thread that says "lowest Wrestlemania buy-rate since 1997".
- But in all seriousness, I would like to see that match for WrestleMania, it would be fun to watch.
- Rock vs. Brock
- Taker vs. Cena
- Punk vs. Bryan

There's no sense in pairing Ryback with Heyman if he's just gonna keep losing on PPV. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Punk loses after interference from Heyman and Axel. They'll probably do the tired Punk refuses medical attention and gets up on his own deal for like the third straight PPV. But, I think (or I hope) they have more sense than that and go with some sort of DQ finish.
Peoople at this place have went nuts..they're trying to act like Punk vs Taker was some HUGE million buy spawning giant of a match when it wasn't even made until like the what? the last 4 or 5 weeks? Punk was losing in the middle of the ring to Cena because they didn't know if Taker was even gonna show. The match was built off of ticket sales that the Rock generated when the fucking show went on sale around Thanksgiving last year to get the biggest gate in history and damn sure wouldn't have hit any million mark of the Rock was not present. Punk vs Taker is an old feud from like 2009 when they were doing fake finishes and trying to push Punk as this Str8 Edge heel that talked alot. That didn't make money then...doesn't make money now. The fans that were already going wanted to cheer harder for that match than usual because Rock/Cena already happened before. Doesn't change the GLOBAL impact the Rock has over a show like that. LOL@trying to give credit to Punk....a guy who did disgusting PPV numbers at Survivor Series 2012. Insanity.
so now all of a sudden people think that Bryan is going to get kicked out of the title picture? see, this is why the booking is bullshit in this feud....not just us on here but a lot of the writers on the internet think that Bryan will be forgotten about as well....way to go WWE! you really fucked up.
Bryan's popularity is increasing too...i doubt they're trying to make him the guy either, so he's in the same boat as Punk. Vince really fucking sucks.
the guys at the top right now, their merchandise sales is what is carrying that company financially right now....because its not like the ppvs have been exactly the greatest lately.
Bryan should win the title and then defend it successfully and be awesome in the ring like he always is and be a fighting champion, eventually losing it and having to wrestle Triple H in a match..please let this angle end satisfyingly.
ratings are going down, nobody wants to see the McMahons on their screen.
