I thought fans felt as though the WWE does not have enough edgier face talents. People complain about the face talents being to nice, or cookie cutter types. Now that we have some face talents with some attitude we have someone complaining about a clearly logical wrestling angle with Ziggler, Langston, and AJ. It's a simple story really if you have been following the three for the last half year, or more. I'm still not really sure how you can come up with reasons to how this angle makes no sense.
although it's being done super corny, everyone knew at one point Big E or Ziggler would turn on one another. It's only logical OP.
It makes perfect sense. AJ was a crazy woman who cost Dolph a chance at an individual goal of his (kayfabe of course) so he dumped her ass. Also, Langston is more buddy buddy with AJ so he took this personally so he attacked Dolph. Then Dolph outsmarted AJ with everything he told her in the ring on Smackdown.
I don't think you guys are understanding me. Yes, from a storyline aspect, EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE. I even said that everthing from MITB to the next night on Raw. AJ costed Dolph the belt. He rightfully broke up w/ her. AJ snapped and Big E destroyed Dolph's ass. That was great.
But since then, FROM A LOGIC STANDPOINT, this feud makes no sense. Again I know it's fake, but you mean to tell me that right after you get get your ass kicked, you're going to come right out and just smile and crack jokes. You guys saying he's being a different babyface than Cena or Sheamus. How is coming out smiling and cracking jokes any different from what they do. I mean, legit question, how is that an "edgy" babyface? It's not.
And yes, I don't mind at all when he does act like a cocky and arrogant babyface. But not when him doing that is making the other guys look sympathetic.
They're heels, we're not supposed to feel bad for them at all.
But yet we had Dolph running AJ down the whole time during that segment and making her cry in the middle of the ring. And yes, I do remember what AJ was doing to his suitcase. But Dolph didn't sell a single thing she said about him. Seriously, what was even the point of that segment if Dolph didn't even give a shit about what she was saying. Seriously, if a casual fan watched that, they would probably feel more sympathetic for AJ (and Big E.) than they would for Dolph. Again, that is a big problem.
Like I said before, at best you have a crazy chick, a douchebag ex-boyfriend, and the crazy chick's friend. Who in the hell am I supposed to cheer for in this match?
Keep in my that I'm attacking the way WWE has booked this feud, not the performers themselves (although the SD segment was awful).
