Theory on MITB Cash in against Cena
I think we should focus less on these MITB "reports" and more on what Cena said during his promo on RAW. He said two interesting things:
1) To the MITB winner, Cena said he'll be ready for them
2) Cena said whoever is the next WWE Champion will "earn it."
I think this probably tells us two things: 1) Cena won't be ready for the MITB winner cashing in on him, 2) They won't "earn it" which creates a storyline going forward.
Using this logic the ideal person to cash in on Cena is Randy Orton. I'll predict after Cena defeats Henry at MITB he will get laid out by Henry creating an opening for Randy Orton who will "punt" John Cena for successful MITB cash in. The commentators will spin it by saying Orton didn't earn it which adds an angle to the feud. The ironic thing about Orton cashing in in this scenario is that he would be doing so with the help of guy he has been unable to beat: Mark Henry. This creates an easy Triple Threat match for the championship at Summerslam. With WWE doing Punk/Lesnar at Summerslam a Triple Threat match between Cena, Henry, and Orton makes sense. WWE has been teasing turning Orton heel for quite a while now. I think it was clear on Monday that turning Randy Orton heel against Daniel Bryan wouldn't be a good idea for the simple fact it wouldn't resonate. Randy Orton acting like a heel in their match last week, won the match with a referee stoppage, yet was cheered when he was announced the winner. The best way to turn Orton heel is against the #1 babyface in the company, John Cena.
