Re: Ryback/Daniel Bryan Praised Backstage

It was a great match but like all have said, it was Bryan that made that match not Ryback!

Is it just me or did Ryback feel like a much bigger star as a heel when he came out for that match than he did during any of his babyface matches?

I never get the "why isn't he getting a push" line of thinking.... He's a part of every show, he's tag team champion with a hall of famer, he just tagged with undertaker.... Sure his gimmick is a little silly, but I think it fits his personality.

Re: Ryback/Daniel Bryan Praised Backstage

saw it. was just OK. Ryback's pre-match promo was dreadful and he clearly botched his line about not teaming with Cena. dude needs to slow the fuck down on the mic and let the crowd react. he's obviously so worried he'll forget his lines that he rushes himself, and forgets anyway.

I think they mean that he is blatantly more popular than just about all of the "approved" main event guys now (Vince's hand picked fellows), but he does not have a main event push like Ryback or Sheamus.

And if you're a Bryan fan, surely you remember watching SD! years ago, solely because Daniel Bryan was booked against Cody Rhodes, or Sin Cara, or Health Slater. I used to watch those matches 2 or 3 times over. This was post-MitB, post-US Title, and pre-WHC, when he didn't really have much direction at all, and one was susceptible to asking "are they ever going to do anything with my favorite wrestler?".

Well, if you remember how much joy you got just watching him wrestle mid-carders every week, then you certainly cannot be upset with his current position. If you can remember Cole calling our little hero a nerd every week, then you definitely can't be upset with his position in the company. Cole, along with JBL, sounds downright giddy during a Daniel Bryan match.

A real Daniel Bryan fan should be thrilled right now. The internet sings his praises; Hall of Famers sing his praises; a commentators sing his praises. It's a great time to be a Daniel Bryan fan.

Agreed. When he was just mid-carding before he won MITB, it was terrible that he would just wrestle while being buried by commentary. You couldn't take him seriously when you had Cole shouting about he is a total nerd. People can trash his current character but at least he has one and it is over as all hell. The guy has got to tag with Taker and even pose with him along with Kane. He main events with John Cena and gets praised for his work by everyone. He will get his time at the top, his time is just not now.

Fan of Daniel Bryan,Seth Rollins,Dean Ambrose,Brock Lesnar,Antonio Cesaro,Randy Orton, Kazuchika Okada,Shinsuke Nakamura,and Minoru Suzuki

Re: Ryback/Daniel Bryan Praised Backstage

It was alright. Just was a bit better than most of his matches because Ryback actually worked a match that wasn't just a squash.

"A reset, for me, is what I want. I have so much more, like going back to the woods or wherever the new place would be, and kind of recapturing that moment. That was the whole message of those first vignettes. They were shot in daylight on purpose. The idea was that monsters are real and they walk among you in the daylight. We're not hiding in the dark or back alleyways but they're real and they live with you. The real monsters are human. Don't fear the boogeyman, fear your neighbor."-Captivating in every sense of the word.
Top 5:

1) Bray Wyatt
2) Kevin Owens
3) AJ Styles
4) Baron Corbin
5) Kalisto
