I wish they wouldn't release a date. It would be better if it was a surprise.

Re: C.M. Punk's advertised television return date

Since CM Punk isnt really present on Raw, i am not watching it anymore.
although i think, that a small break could be good for him.

does anyone know the reason for his absence?

Thankful for CM Punk making me watching WWE again.
6/27/11 is same important as 6/23/96

A legend never dies: June 18, 1962 - June 13, 2009

Not removing until:
[] Shelton Benjamin makes a comeback
[] Charlie Haas makes a comeback
[] Kenny Dykstra makes a comeback
[] Raw makes again a 6.5 or even a higher rating
[] John Morrison becomes WWE champion
[] CM Punk wins Royal Rumble
[] CM Punk and Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania in an iron man match (and so creating epic stuff as e.g. misawa and kawada did in their matches)
[] WWE pays tribute to Mitsuharu Misawa

Punk holding the title for 434 days was epic. it was the greatest reign in the history of wrestling (but not the way the reign ended):
4-3-4
4-3-4
4-3-4

i highly doubt this time off is enough time to recover from his injuries and all. honestly dont rush him back and let him recover.

Yes, Payback is better than Elimination Chamber, Extreme Rules, Money in the Bank, Hell in a Cell and TLC. Arguably better than Over the Limit. So it's probably the best PPV name apart from the big ones. (and we probably still like Survivor Series because of the longevity, it has lost its meaning and value in recent years.)

Yeah, I would rather him take another month or so off and get closer to 100% then to get rushed back and be on the sidelines 3 months from now because he aggravated an injury.

Re: C.M. Punk's advertised television return date

subject to change anyways.

but they might need to bring him back early since Brock will be gone for a few months after ER, Cena is injured, No Rock, etc.

they should not force him to the ring right away when he returns though. Commentary/Promo stuff.

Re: C.M. Punk's advertised television return date

I was expecting him to stay away for much longer but they've got a PPV lined up in his hometown, so its understandable. With most of the part-timers gone already, Hunter and Brock will also be gone by then. So Punk's basically going to be the selling point of the PPV, probably main eventing with Cena.
