Did WWE actually film a Smackdown show this week?

Because all that was on last night was a show with old wrestlemania matches. Is this just a Sky thing or did they not bother to film an episode because of wrestlemania?

I think the Smackdown show is going to be shown directly before Wrestlemania on Sunday.

WWE SmackDown

- Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are on commentary.
- Ryback vs. Epico and Primo (w/ Rosa Mendes) in a handicap match.
- There was a segment with Team Rhodes Scholars and The Bella Twins.
- Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger.
- The rest of the show will be filled with footage and matches from WrestleMania Axxess.

I stole that from the spoilers thread in this section, I took the results out in case you didn't want the matches spoiled.

Yeah OP... In England the whole show was just clips but Smackdown was recorded and shown in America so you'll have to find it online somewhere.

It was the same deal last year I believe. Either way I doubt you'll miss anything important, Raw was the go-home show for Wrestlemania.

They have used the last Smackdown show before WrestleMania as a "WrestleMania Axxess Special" for awhile now. At least ever since they stopped doing the show Heat. No matter what was shown, none of it was noteworthy. So don't worry if you missed out on anything.

Europe got a Wrestlemania special
USA got the normal Smackdown with current matches

The Rhodes Scholars/Bellas skit is worth tracking down and watching if you can, as it was immensely entertaining. Chances are a recap of that segment will be shown on the preshow/just before the WM match, however.

Everything else was missable filler or recaps.

"Well sir, I guess there's just a meanness in this world..."

lol, the best part of the whole Rhode Scholars stuff was when the pyros went off and Sandow fell down at the same time.

It's been like it every year since 2009(?) I think. They just show Axxess footage / WM previews and have a few un-important matches.

I miss Heat on the Sunday before the PPV.
