And to be fair prior to 2011, Mark henry's 2003 run is worth a mention, he came out looking dominant that year. And it's not Henry's fault what booking he was given prior to his breakout moment. Thankfully he was given a chance. Still maybe a little too late for him to hold the wwe belt now but never say never. And if his time has really passed like people keep saying..
Then I hope Big E can be a future wwe champion eventually
Oh please no. Big E is going to have to pull some serious talent out of his ass if he's going to be in the main event. He looks good, that's it. And even then, he's a short dude.
As for people calling foul, WWE hasn't really had a talented black wrestler who was capable of being main event worthy!
Ahmed Johnson - Awful. Looked great, but he sucked in every other way.
Farooq - Talented guy, but he was in the latter stages of his career and was featured in a time of wrestling where proven draws like Austin and the Rock were stressed.
The Rest of the Nation - Godfather was horrible, don't deny it, he sucked. His Godfather gimmick saved him. Mark Henry sucked, until recently. Late bloomer. The Rock is half but he won the title, so kudos to him!
Booker T - Okay, I'll admit, WWE dropped the ball with this one. Badly.
Ezekiel Jackson - See Ahmed Johnson.
R-Truth - Old, TNA history, and WWE was leading to the CM Punk story, which ended up drawing more fans anyway.
Sweet Daddy Siki never wrestled for the WWE, the Big Cat Ernie Ladd was busy breaking racial barriers down in the South, God bless him, and Bobo Brazil was pushed as a singles star, but considering the legend they had as WWWF champion I can't blame them for not giving him the strap, Rocky Johnson retired early, Tony Atlas sucked in the ring, back when it mattered.
I don't blame Vince or WWE even back in it's older days. There was never anyone of legitimate talent to push.
