How can anyone hate Ryback?

He is everything a wrestler should be. An ass kicker, a machine, the guy looks like a punisher. And those of you who say he can't wrestle make me laugh.

I am starting to think that the IWC think all jacked up guys can't wrestle and are just there for show. Thats not the case. Ryback could wrestle. Batista could wrestle. Brock Lesnar could wrestle. Goldberg could wrestle. Ultimate Warrior could wrestle. And I don't give a fuck what anyone says, wrestling is all theatre and these 5 guys gave a hell of a show when it all comes down to it. Not everyone can be a technical mastermind. Ryback has a role and he plays it perfectly.

I love Ryback.

I actually find Ryback's matches entertaining sometimes, and while I think there was some sloppy booking involved, the event desperately needed someone new and he fills this role well. That being said, the guy's moveset isn't far off from someone like Khali in my opinion, big guy that just does clotheslines, that thing where he bangs your head on the mat, and the Shell Shock - you'd expect something cooler from a dude so big.

Also, the fact that they are thrusting this dude into the main event while also protecting his sloppy in ring work and his inability to wrestle a 10 minute match, well it feels wrong lol. Add the Goldberg stuff to him, and there you go. Goldberg pretty much played that character as best as you possibly can, hate it or love it, Ryback is really re-hashing it.

I'll be the first to admit that this guy is put under a microscrope by the IWC, he probably doesn't care as he continues to get a monster push and he is starting to get over (although smarks still give him the Goldberg chants lol).

i'm not a fan of the 'big guy' look, lets just get that out of the way. HOWEVER thats not the reason why I don't like him. Its his lack of stamina and charisma that turns me right off him. he looks awkward and clumsy, he is terrible on the mic, he has a very limited moveset and he naps at any given opportunity if there is an available table to go through.

also his faces...they are funny...but i don't think thats the point that vince wants us to get.

I prefer Big E. he doesn't play "Mr big monster RAAAWWRR no 4532214". he plays a cocky, unscrupulous bad guy that just happens to be big.

I dont Ryback because he sucks in all facets. He cant cut a promo and cant have a decent match. Im sure most of you have noticed that in most his ppv matches he usually gets attacked and has his lil 10 breather like the triple threat and the TLC match. Thing is guy has been booked perfectly but what I hate is that I understand hiding someones weakness. Like having Orton talk less on the mic or giving someone shorter matches but for Ryback it just seems they have to hide everything. Last Raw when everyone was coming out and giving their case, did Ryback do so at all no. you even had PTP on the mic but yet Ryback ran out with all the jobbers just so he wouldnt talk?

ive just never saw someone get this kinda push before. he squashes 100 pound Indy jobbers for Weeks upon Weeks then moves onto WWE jobbers and somehow he then gets a title shot against the best wrestler in WWE atm.he just seems so forced, he chants Feed Me More till the crowd start everytime he has the mic. You have DB who got super over naturally and is far superior in every way yet is stuck doing comedy. Overall I just dont get it, I thought it was either ringwork, mic work or you had loads of charisma which warranted pushes. Ryback.doesnt have any of those so it it just looks that get you pushes now.

Yes he is. But the problem is that he is not charismatic like Dusty Rhodes for example to cover it up and that makes things even worse.
The biggest problem is that he is generic and has nothing that makes him a valid main eventer, be it the look, charisma, presence, ring psychology, promo skills or the it factor but still WWE tries to present him as the next big thing.

At people who defend him that he is a monster, beast and a machine and therefore deserves to be in the main event. Is he built like a professional wrestler and powerhouse? Yes he is but so were thousand other big men in the past like Kurrgan, Bull Buchanan, Luke Gallows, Man Mountain Rock and Berzerker. There is a reason why Davey Boy Smith had more fans and was more accepted than Carl Ouellet despite having a similar look and that's charisma, ring presence and the it factor.

Big guys like Big Show, Kane, Vader, Mark Henry, Big Boss Man or Goldberg (LOL) would already be well received as the Ryback character simply because they are charismatic and have the superstar look. Ryan Reeves is only a generic big guy with the charisma of Bam Neely

I just don't care for him or most of the people that his character is similar to. I never liked Goldberg either.

As for the most underrated/overrated argument from WO, I think it's because most people know Kidd is good wrestler getting little TV time and Ryback is a meh wrestler getting lots of TV time.

I'll gladly admit that I was very impressed with Ryback in the six man TLC and fairly impressed in the Punk/Ryback TLC.

He's a 'Company Guy' which obviously makes him lose cool points with a certain portion of the IWC along with being a stereotypical meat head. I like him simply because he's different to everyone else they present as a babyface bar Orton (who is likely to turn soon) he's got some bad-ass aura around him when presented well and he's kinda cool

would I get sick of him if he gets pushed like Cena for the next 4 years? probably but again I'd take it at this stage.

how can anyone hate him? He is a horrible wrestler from a technical stand point, he is being pushed WAY too hard. He is a Goldberg wanna be, he is embarassing on the mic, and he has as much stamina as a fat house cat.

Ryback and Lesnar are both pretty solid in the ring. Batista and Goldberg were both ok. But when you said the ultimate warrior could wrestle I fell of my chair in laugh. the ultimate warrior is by far the worst in ring wrestler thats ever been pushed. Ryback can be entertaining its just the fact that he,s repetitive shit gets boring , the whole feed me more , never cutting real promos , same boring matches etc. But overall he has a good gimmick and is pretty talented.

When did anyone say Brock Lesnar couldn't wrestle? I was under the impression that the appeal to Brock Lesnar was that he was ridiculously huge and ridiculously athletic, agile and a great in ring performer. It was rare to get a guy that big that was so good at wrestling? Plus he's got an amateur wrestling background...

The reason I think people dislike Ryback is because his push was so sudden and no one was ready to accept him yet. But they still kept pushing him which results in the feeling that he is being shoved down our throats when we don't really want him.

Yeah,we hate wrestlers because of their size, not because they plain and simple suck.

LOL

I've got nothing against Big E,because he just got here and is yet to prove himself. Some of you crearly can't accept the fact that people can hold negative opinions against people like Ryback, because they've got a lot of flaws.

GOLLY JEEZ

The thing is Ryback is a bit too fat to be marketable based solely on his look. Let's face it, he has no ring or mic skills that are above average, so his look is all he depends on. ATM he's still too uncoditioned at 291 lbs. He needs to cut until he's around like 8% bodyfat and be more like 260-265 lbs. Nobody wants to see a huge guy with a bloated HGH gut unless it's Ronnie Coleman. Either lay off the HGH or cut, or both. It's clearly visible that the dude can't maintain his size with roids alone at his size.

I like Ryback because he actually stands out and is different than what we see currently. He has the presence of a big man. The live audience is into him. He's not a guy that needs to have 5 star, technical matches that the IWC creams their pants over. He doesn't need to speak since he's not a talker. He's built as an intense, kickass machine.

Nah, he's too bulky. All former big men that made it were in the single digit bfs like Batista, Warrior, Scctt Steiner (GOAT) and Lesnar. Compared to them, he's a fatass on a bulk. A big man has to be lean to make it unless he's a former powerlifter/strongman and he isn't that.
