How do you push a guy further than letting him drone on for an interminable 13 minutes on the mic, with the belt, in place of a main event?

No, he hasn't been the center of everything and I'd personally rather see him featured more rather than less.

Re: CM Punk: was he shoved down our throats in the past year?

No, quite the opposite. For the first half of the year his relevance was at times questionable, and, as I recall discussing, he couldn't catch a main event if it was a barbed wire steel cage match with crocodiles in lava at ringside. That only changed around July-ish, and I've found Punk's exposure was at a healthy level, at least definitely more becoming for someone that held the supposed top championship for a half a year at that point.

No.
He's been champion for over a year and didn't mainevent the PPVS until SEPTEMBER...something he should have been doing EVERY PPV.

His reign was so underwhelming that I can't really say he was overexposed.

Yes, of course. Anyone that is crowned champion is pushed down our throats.

Re: CM Punk: was he shoved down our throats in the past year?

I would say No personally, but can see where some would get the idea and agree he was. But you have to ask yourself, if not Punk/Cena/Sheamus being "shoved down our throsts" (I would also add Ryback and AJ Lee to the list as well) then who should've been the main focus over the past year?

The problem isn't the WWE shoving these guys down our throats, the problem is the fact the WWE has lost touch on how to get guys properly over so 2-3 people don't have to carry the show and need to be on multiple segments of each show, for the ratings to be at acceptable #s (again debatable) so it appears those 2-3 people are being shoved down our throats. Again, you can complain that Cena or Punk or whomever is being shoved down everyone's throats, but right or wrong planning by the WWR, they are putting the superstars that people want to see on TV the most, and the WWE will always operate that way.

I mean if you really look at the AE, yes Austin/Rock/HHH/Taker were usually in the "main programs" but the WWE could also use the rest of the roster b/c the midcard was properly over and had proper stroylines enough to carry segments when these 4 were not on them, so the entire 2 hour shows didn't have to completely "revolve" around them and their storyline with 5-10 minute breaks for other matches to happen. But even back then in the AE there were people that claimed Austin/Rock/etc were being shoved down people's throats I am sure.

Or my short answer Nope
