One gripe with Del Rio's face turn

I like the face turn for Del Rio and i really like him better as a face, but that whole thing with Sheamus tonight was awful. Those 2 hated each other and Del Rio ambushed and assaulted Sheamus more than once but Sheamus was like "Oh you're a face now fella so i gotta be buddy's with ya now" i just hate that about a face turn, even the biggest rival of the guy who turns face just becomes his buddy instantly. Can we not do some kind build of earning the trust and friendship of your biggest rival you had while being a heel? instead of just instantly having them become buddy's.

I mean i know they wanna push Del Rio hard as a face but come on after all the shit Sheamus and Del Rio have been through just tossed aside and now their good friends? I wasn't expecting some long drawn out storyline involving Del Rio earning Sheamus' trust but come on they could have done it better than that. I just hate it when a heel turns face and boom suddenly every guy that hated him instantly likes him, thats just always bugged me.

That annoyed me too, but at least it's not as bad as CM Punk teaming with Randy Orton after he turned face 3 months after stalking his wife in her trailer. Apparently, ANY dispute can be settled with the phrase "I know we haven't always seen eye to eye, but...". The UN should hire Vince McMahon to write speeches for world leaders. There'd be world peace in MINUTES.

I just know within 2 or 3 years, they're gonna turn Barrett face and he's gonna fucking hug Cena, I just KNOW it.

Look up Barrett's speech after the cameras stopped rolling for Raw in Manchester, England. Barrett ends up sorta kinda getting along with Cena briefly, cuz Barrett's giving this big thank you speech to the audience. Its all in the context of them still hating each other, but they put aside their issues in a heartbeat cuz Barrett had a five-minute face turn.

I hate that aswell. I dont understand why every good guy has to get along with each other. The whole concept of "good vs evil" is so outdated. I want shades of grey. Wrestling shouldn't be so black and white. It's one of the reasons I like Russo. He understands this.

Btw, Sheamus and Del Rio both incidentally ended up in the ring a few wks back to fight Big Show, and they sorta stared at each other suspiciously then shook hands. So that happened first, for w/e its worth.

It's not exclusive but all heels also don't automatically like each other, either. Granted, they mostly do, but it's not a given, as we've seen even recently with Big Show threatening to KO Ziggler if he tried cashing in on him. But when it comes to faces, WWE seems to operate under this dome of cluelessness where every babyface smiles and is happy and loves picnics and flowers, and everything is forgiven once a turn occurs.

I know, I saw that when it came out, but I was talking about an actual turn on television, not on camera. I was joking anyway, although it seriously wouldn't surprise me.

We need more Taker-esque faces. Saves people, rides off in to the sunset. Panders to the crowd with taunts. Keeps crowd pleasing to a minimum.

Pretty much all faces are friends with each other, it's just what happens. Yeh, it's a little silly but it's happened so many times in the past that I've just kind of got used to it now.

In fact in this instance it's not as bad because they actually didn't insult people's intelligence completely. They acknowledged they were enemies a short while ago and at least attempted to give us an explanation. Sheamus appreciated how hard Del Rio worked in that match to win the world title, he couldn't beat Show so he was glad someone finally did and he shares a dislike for Ziggler and Show, so it kind of...kind of made sense.
