I'm not saying this will happen as I don't think WWE will be creative enough to try. But what if this whole Orton turning heel rumor is wrong and we get swerved with a Sheamus turn instead? It's gonna be next to impossible to make Orton get boo'd anyways much less over Sheamus and maybe they realize this. Sheamus character has kinda been botched anyways as well. It would be cool if Sheamus said he was tired of being nice and smiling for these idiots, and he became this barbaric brute and top heel for Smackdown. This is what I would like to see for this fued, but we probably will get a cowardly Orton if they want him to be heel.

I hope Orton turns heel and has a feud with Sheamus is the right way to go. Orton is better off as heel and Sheamus is better off as a face.

I think Sheamus should be better off as a face, just not the way they are executing it. He should be more of a bad ass brute as opposed to smiling and cracking corny jokes.

Orton's character may be better or have more depth as a heel, but he is over like hell more than anyone else TBH even when he has been doing absolutely nothing. So at this point in order to get the crowd to be against him, he's gonna have to portray a different heel than what people like him for.

I like this route. I think they should do something along the lines of a Bret/Austin feud. Have Orton turn heel and have Orton and Sheamus have a match or two. The crowd will obviously side with Orton, and then creative can do something creative and have Sheamus be visually frustrated by the crowd not siding with him. Have him turn heel and have him do so because he upset with the fans for not siding with him. That, and have Orton become a tweener face. That's what'd I'd do.

And if we're lucky we'll get a 20-minute promo about the "WWE Universe turning their back on him" and "respect."

Unless Sheamus can keep his monter status then no, Sheamus is finally booked as the powerful star he should have been booked as A LONG time ago. But for the sake of this thread...so one of these guys should probably turn, I just hope it's not Sheamus at this point.

It's been a LONG ASS time since these super credible stars collided. And ME stars should be going in for the MAIN title.

I totally agree with this thread. Everyone is expecting Orton to turn & that kinda takes away its impact when it happens. Also, even though most of you think Orton is completely stale, IMO he can still be revived without a heel turn if they just give him some of that tweener-like edge he had in 2010, put him in a proper feud & bring back the punt kick. After all, his character has hardly changed since 2009, he's still (kayfabe) a vicious psycho asshole who has never smiled, high-fived fans or kissed babies.

Sheamus, on the other hand, CANT be given any edge, because his character is a corny nice guy who always smiles and kisses babies no matter what. They could have kept him badass at the start of his face run, but now it would basically amount to a heel turn if he stopped smiling and cracking corny jokes.

I know I'll get a whole lotta heat for this, but Sheamus is the one who needs the heel turn most. He's gone soft beyond repair. Back in 2009/10, he was a great heel. His brutality was almost unparalled, remember how he killed Jamie Noble?

At the same time as being a monster, he was also an asshole who always took the easy route out yet gloated about how dominant he was.

Sure, he was booked like shit , but his character was 100 times more enjoyable, and the only reason I like him right now is because of what he was back then. Indeed, it would be great to see him go back to that monster/jerk combination instead of turning Orton heel without changing his character much.

Sheamus is anything but a natural face. It's simply not believable that a huge, scary man like him would go around smiling, kissing babies and cracking Cena-esque jokes. Ever since he turned face, his promos have all been unnatural and forced. When he was a heel, he was actually decent on the mic.

Now compare those promos with this one:

Sheamus is better as face, but someday they decided him to be Cena's SD with the comedic promos but they put Sheamus on another level of corniness.
^This, basically. I don't agree that he's better as a face, but the rest is exactly what I'm talking about. He was still badass when they first turned him face and had him feud with Mark Henry, but they completely ruined him by putting a big ol' smile on his face 24/7.

Personally, I don`t like him. He sucks as a face, either as a heel. He is above decent in the ring, so he should stay face, be in midcard and putover midcard heels. But.. Well.. , Vince loves huge brainless guys without mic skills. Atleast he is better in the ring than most of workhorses in WWE. He should be enchancement talent.

Noone in the roster today could stand with the Rock in the same ring except for maybe, MAYBE CM Punk. Sheamus will never be a top star, he just does not have it, atleast he is more passionate than Kofi " Happy Midcarder" Kingston. I hate then WWE pushes guys like ADR or Sheamus, they do not deserve pushes, WWE made them, they did not do anything to impress audience and putover themselves like Zack Ryder, CM Punk, Ziggler and many other did.

Fuck these wrestlers which wwe have made using their factory. (vomit)

Yeah, they are not creative enough because they wouldn't turn someone so over with the crowd and who's the #2 babyface in the company heel. Yeah, booking wise he's ahead of Orton.
You can still cheer him as a face. You are probably an advocate of the it's 'cool' cheer the heels and boo the faces concept.

No I'm not, I just like any type of character when they are utilized correctly whether it's heel or face. I actually like Sheamus and think he should be much better in his face role than he is if they didn't make him Cena 2.0. Like someone else stated when he first turned face and fueded with Mark Henry that was perfect and how he should be booked. Sheamus can be a brute heel and everyone would boo because he was attacking Orton. I'd make him the top heel and be booked stronger and more dominant than his original run, then eventually turn him back face and keep his edge.

And as far your sarcastic comment about them not being creative enough because they won't turn somebody so over with the crowd.......What would they be doing by turning Orton? Sheamus may be booked as the #2 face, but like it or not Orton is the most consistently over guy in the company, which was the point of my thread. I find it hard to believe that Sheamus would get cheered over Orton especially when it's in Ortons character to RKO faces and be out for himself. So I believe a drastic change into a cowardly heel is the only way if would work at this moment. It won't be the heel Orton that everyone likes him as.
