I'm sold on Del Rio as a face

Like really, everything from his nuances and mannerisms, to the way he executes his moves and down to his facial expressions.

Everything to me screams that he is going to be an awesome face character, and they need to keep him as a badass to keep that momentum going. He really was never meant to be heel in the first place now in hindsight, he looked so uncomfortable, but now he looks like he's doing what he's comfortable with.

One of the most overpushed of all time. I hate seeing people get pushed because the "If we push him fans will like him" logic within creative takes over. Fucking dopes.

I hope Ziggler gets the belt off of him at Wrestlemania. I bet he'll get cheered tremendously if he takes it off Delol Rio

Re: I'm sold on Face Del Rio

Del Rio as a good guy seems like great decision.

If you see all the things he does outside of WWETV stuff, you'll see how him as a good guy was great choice. He's one of(if not the only one) the people who volunteers to do be a star rallys. And this was all throughout the time when he was a bad guy. So now that he's a good guy, it could work for him alot.

I agree. Him and Ricardo could be a top face team for a while. It's amazing what a change in character can do to a boring gimmick JOHNCENARANDYORTONBRODUSCLAYJACKSWAGGER

Course he doesnt suck, he was Dos Caras Jr. the top babyface for bout as long as Cena without the mixed reactions.

It's so damn weird after all that time as a heel nobody gave a fuck about him, he couldn't get a reaction for shit and now? Fucking Bizarro world lol. Even I, an advid ADR hater, am liking him. I just hope to hell they don't fuck up his character and have him hugging Orton, Cena and Sheamus and telling idiotic jokes.

I know right, it's strange. Like 2 months ago I couldn't stand him, he was one of my least favourite wrestlers. I legit hated him & wanted him off of my TV screen. Now, I'm actually enjoying him despite him still being overpushed, and I bet I'll even be marking for him soon enough.

So am I,His heel run got stale and it was time the guy started fresh with a face run and his face turn also means the Latino fanbase will be extremely happy and this is good for the business. Also Ricardo himself was always loved by the crowd so having Del Rio heel just never made sense however now that Del Rio's face its all good and the crowd can cheer both men.Del Rio himself is an amazing technical wrestler and one of the best wrestlers on the roster,Its great to see he'll finally be booked as a fighter and not as a coward like most heels.

Great match, great emotion when he won. I like when someone wins the title and "cries" like the title means something, that actually what makes the title worthy of being chased.
It's a wise move to have Del Rio as face, way more natural.

I have watched pro-wrestling for more than 25 years and I have to say it : Big Show versus Alberto Del Rio Heavyweight title last standing match is the best pro-wrestling match I have ever seen.

Everything was perfect :

- Audience was living the match and reacted perfectly.
- The scenario was fantastic and really a last standing match.
- Del Rio's resilliency and acting are amazing.
- The use of weapons was brutal and right on time.
- The dramatic tension was awesome and RR played his role perfectly.
- The commentators were geniuses and stuck to the match (so rare nowadays).
- The ending was brillant, brillant, brillant and imaginative.
- Del Rio cried and damn it was so real, so emotional, so strong feelings I cried too.

Thanks Del Rio, Big Show and WWE. Best match of the decade for me.

Yeah they did a great job making him a sympathetic babyface in that match, I think he'll do a great job in the role. I only wish the bookers weren't so impatient that they could've actually built up him taking the title off of Big Show as a big moment and not a random Smackdown match: I think it would've helped get the fans behind him more.

How long before they realise that people just dont give a shit about him as a face either and he drops the title. Personally...If you cant do the easy job of getting people to hate you, i cant see him being able to get the fans behind him each and every week either.

If they wanted a top latin star, they should have just looked elsewhere IMO.
