This isn't whether you want them to face each other but whether you think they will face each other.
Please dont make this a haters vs marks thread as its not the point.
Nobody needs to waste their time argue backwards and forwards hyping him or slandering him.

But im interested as to whether people think this will ever happen.
I think more people on the current roster need to feud with legends other than just Randy Orton and John Cena and I think it goes a long way to giving us fans something unique and something we havent seen before.

"I was in a bar in Mexico watching the football game. Word on the street was some low end piece of trash was talking smack on #WWE RAW."

"I hope you understand the gravity of the situation that you're in right now. What happens if I treat you with the same disrespect you're showing me? How about if I treat you the way I treated Mick Foley last night (sic)? What happens then, Jim? Who saves you? Who comes to your rescue? Oh, yeah, I know, I know ... STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! Give it a shot, go ahead, scream his name as loud as you want. He can't hear you nor can he help you; nobody can help you. Not your friend Jerry Lawler, not your friend Stone Cold Steve Austin. You know 316 used to mean that your buddy Steven got his hands on you and he whooped your ass. But now 316 is just currently the climate we live in. It is the number of days that I have held the WWE championship. 316 now belongs to me, 316 and counting. And it belongs to the best in the world."

I find it hard to believe they aren't planning something between the two after watching the interview for WWE'13. The way they both said that you can have them face in other in the game, really made me think we will see the two in the ring together. I can see it happening at Wrestlemania 30 if Punk has a big year in 2013.

I will clarify that I know the third video down is a fan made promo.

Well basically if we don't see Punk - Austin we won't see anything else - Austin.

Austin only wants to wrestle Punk, although I'd like to see Cena - Austin just as much.

I would love to see it but it will probably never happen and Stone Cold said he would rather wrestle Cena than Punk

Doubt it.

Austin seems content doing what he's doing. If he's offered a bunch of money? Maybe. But Heyman has said before Austin doesn't even have to touch the principle in his bank account, he can live an entire year off the interest with no problem whatsoever. So perhaps money isn't a big deal.

I actually doubt it will ever happen.

CM Punk has certainly been name dropping him etc. as well as the whole previous with Austin wanting to come out of "retirement" to face one guy and that being Punk and the whole WWE'13 video etc. personally with Austin being one of my favourites and Punk being one of my favourites from the current crop, it would be something of a dream match so I would love to see it.

Do I think we'll see it? I think the ship has sailed.

I would have loved to see it, but I don't think it will. I just don't think Austin's body will be able to hold up for a full match, with CM Punk or anyone. They've been building it up and teasing it, but I don't think it'll lead to an actual match, sadly.

WWE is already using a Rock match on Punk, I'd rather them not use any more megastar matches on him for awhile. It's someone else's turn imo. Punk's been super pushed for a year and a half now, and it will probably go for another half a year. He doesn't need any more help. Imo, he's as over as he's going to get.

What I'd really like to see Stone Cold vs Sheamus with Sheamus going over after re-establishing his fury gimmick. That way some nice use would come of it in addition to the extra buyrates.

Ryback's moves might literally hurt Austin, so I wouldn't suggest him. Ziggler isn't big enough in stature to really square off realistically against Austin (though Ziggler/HBK would be cool), so imo that leaves Sheamus who can beat him and it not piss me off that he did so.

There aren't many dudes I wouldn't be pissed off if they beat Austin or The Rock, but Sheamus with the fury gimmick is one. It'd help his career out a lot to get that kind of win. There's always Cena and Orton, but like Punk, they're already as over as they're going to get, and don't need the match or the win. Wouldn't want to see either unless it was just a swan song for Austin. Then maybe a match vs Cena would be a nice way to go out. Or better yet. . .Austin vs The Rock, the final showdown!

I think it will happen, there's been even speculation in recent weeks something could be planned for this year which would really shock me, I personally think its set for WrestleMania 30, they could even bring in Austin this year to start the build for next year same as Rock/Cena.

They talk about eachother like all the time. Punks mentioned him in Promos, so has Austin pretty brutally in this one video. Then there's the wwe 13 inteview they did together. Obviously something WILL happen and nothing happens, then holy shit what a boat they'll miss.

Plus, I hear Stone Cold is doing DDP Yoga, which is said to get you into phenomenal shape
