Anyone else find his acting way too cheesy and cringe worthy lately? When he was walking down the hall with Kane trying to get his attention, ugh i felt like i was watching a lame skit from a show on Disney channel. Yes he's been like this for a while now but lately its just becoming too much and he's going over the top. They've ran this whole tag team with Kane and him right into the ground. Bryan's mannerisms and facial expressions are way too childish and cheesy. He's almost at the Santino level of goofy characters. He needs to go back to saying Yes and get serious again, and fast.
If you enjoy watching a young man's career slowly die every week he's in this angle being marginalized from every facial expression to booking decision, then I suppose it's good.
I think he is doing the job he is suppose to do. The story with Kane and DB isn't suppose to be serious. Seriously, when you have a tag-team being homewrecked by Kane "cheating" on DB I don't think it can really get any cheesier.
I don't think you get wrestling OP. Everything has to be larger than life and over the top, becasue you've only got 3 mins in apromo and 10 mins max ina match to get what you want to say across... This is the way Bryan's character is moving towards. And if you are findingh it cheesy, Bryan is no doubt making it this way. In other words he is doing it on purpose. Relax and enjoy what good stuff WWE actually gives us.
Looks even worse to me than to the OP. There is nothing sadder from watching how someone with potential is being buried, so you can have another fucking clown on this clownfull show.

I don't know how other people think his acting is fantastic. I'm well aware that pro wrestling by its definition requires acting that's extremely fantastical and grandiose, but Bryan's acting is just flat out bad. I find him completely unbelievable, which makes him come across as extremely irritating and obnoxious. And of course, its a hilarious misuse of talent.
I have hated this tag team with Kane since its second day. They completely jumped the shark when they had Kane explain his life's story. After that, it was pretty evident they'd never top that. Didn't expect things to get THIS bad, though. My God, they've been fighting over who the SINGULAR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS are for almost 2 months. At first it was like "ah, I get it. They never get along." The second time the joke began to wear extremely thing. Now, we're at about 8 weeks of this shit. It was never funny, and stopped being tolerable the second day they did it.
But of course, Bryan marks refuse to see it for how bad it really is. If Santino were doing this, Wrestling Forum would have unanimously declared this the worst gimmick of the year weeks ago. Its only because Bryan is involved that they become willfully blind-if goat face is involved, it must be good! Wrong. Bad is bad. That's why Bryan marks give me such a headache. If this is truly the best thing in WWE these days, then we have failed as a species.
I'll never understand why people always try to say Bryan is shit, annoying, whatever. If you don't like him, skip the segment he's on, don't make new threads every day telling everyone how shitty of an actor he is or how bad his character is. It's not new, fresh, and you're not cool.
I think his Acting is Amazing so far & most of the people saying otherwise probably dont know much about it. He has been a huge Surprise & fantastic. At this point he is one of the TOP actors in WWE.
But I find the angle although quite entertaining a bit lame because he is f***ing Daniel Bryan, he should be WWE Champion & kicking people's head off
everyone should redebut next week with a super serious gimmick. maybe as accountants or serial killers. and every feud should be super serious with like screaming and angry faces
His acting is dreadfully bad. Like, noticeably bad. Like Bossy said, people don't bat an eye at it because they've been a fan of him since whenever, but his acting is just nothing to marvel at at all. Bryan marks think he is unconditionally flawless at everything, so there's no sense in trying to understand the way they think.
That said, Bryan is certainly not alone. Most of the roster can't act to save their lives, but it is pro wrestling, and you don't have to be a good actor. You do need a presence though, and Bryan certainly has one whether it's a 'must tune in' or a 'change the channel' presence.
what truly shows a great actor is their ability to take a shit role and turn it into something memorable by putting all of themselves into it. Check out Bruce Campbell in Evil Dead. One of the greatest movie roles really, but it shouldn't have been anything. Danielson has that whole giving 110% thing going for him..
before he joined the wwe, everyone was questioning if his mic skills and personality would be good enough to be a star in the wwe. now despite being arguably the best in-ring wrestler in the wwe, they keep putting him in these acting type roles for a reason. he keeps pulling it off and making something out of it. you can see he's having fun doing it too. his acting isn't always the greatest, but it would take a pro actor to do that type of goofy stuff well. i don't see any jim carey types in pro wrestling do you? i don't think anyone else in the wrestling biz right now could do this type of role any better.
DB is the stuff his comedy act with Kane is temporary
before that he was smackdowns top and after this tag
team comedy act Kane will always be the monster and DB
will go back to main eventing for sure....be patient.
1. Its a family show.
2. its suppose to be over the top
3. Its a family show
4. They are aiming at getting kids entertained
5. Its a family show
etc etc
Bryan is great and honestly this is way better than when he used to act like an idiot with the Bella twins.
Him starting to play the role of "jealous girlfriend" is entertaining, especially if they end up going to couple's counseling with that same guy from anger management.
"Look at me,look at me i hate Daniel Bryan.Get mad,get mad i am begging you.I don't care about the subject, but in the title says Daniel Bryan so it sucks.LOOK AT ME PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Look at DBs acting 2-3 years ago. THAT was bad.
Well let's say not bad, but you coulnd't take him seriously sometimes.
He always smiled and it felt like he was laughing like hell on the inside, no matter what.
His acting skills improved a looot since then.
Sometimes it's still there, but I think that's just a part
of him which makes him even more likeable for me. ^^
