If he was Vegeta, that would mean him accomplishing nothing and being detrimental to the show.
Seriously, if you re read DBZ, Vegeta never does ANYTHING helpful. He never beats the bad guys, and he does more bad for the universe than good.
Vegeta might have been detrimental to the universe, but he was a huge reason why DBZ was so popular, i know ALOT of people who preferred him to Goku. In the WWE its all about the popularity, how many people tune in to watch you, how much merchandise they want to buy with your name on it etc...
It is somewhat comparable but keep in mind of gokus and vegetas status. Goku was a semi abandoned baby who was considerwd a weak ranked fighter whereas vegeta was born into royalty and considered elite.
Vegeta spent the entire show forcing this narrow minded philosophy that his royal blood gives him the right to do everything and that goku should never be able to surpass him because of this fixed status.
I think dbz teaches us that just because you grew up from nothing doesn't mean you can't be anything more. And I think that's why the vegeta character suffered through the entire show for it.
Cm punks comeuppance can be compared to goku with him be an Indy wrestler and all. Except for wwe, once an Indy wrestler always an Indy wrestler.
