It seems like people hate him because he doesnt recieve heat from the crowd. Now tell me what heel besides CM Punk recieves heat? That's right none. Del Rio is one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. It's difficult for him to cut a promo because of his accent but he isn't as bad as people claim to be.

Re: Why is Albert Del Rio hated on here?

Because he's completely uninteresting in every way.
This. Boring gimmick, boring look, absolutely no natural charisma or flair.

The man is just fucking boring and no one gives a fuck about him so I have no idea why they continue to push him. He'll never be a big star and he'll never make them any money.

Idk why. Im a fan of his, on smackdown he was great but things changed as soon as he got.drafted to raw. Its not him though because guy is talented as hell. He has the ring skills and has charisma. Add Ric Rod and that adds even more to his character. Always felt if they added Epico and Primo or Hunico and Camacho with him then an edge he lacks would be added to him if they were used as his enforcers.

Yes, it is him. Anyone with an ounce of talent would have gotten over with the push Del Rio had. Hell, even I would probably have gotten over. Del Rio is a passable worker and that's it. So is Jack Swagger, so is Michael McGillicutty, that doesn't mean I want to see them on my TV every week. Especially in such a prominent role, regularly going over or even squashing guys that have worked far harder and are far more entertaining than him. Del Rio is like the fun police when he comes out, you pretty much already know what's going to happen and that nobody is going to give a shit either way.

Re: Why is Albert Del Rio hated on here?

The crowd has completely rejected him in every way and yet he consistently not only gets multiple speaking and wrestling opportunities per week he...

Received over a month of vignettes and hype video package
Made Rey Mysterio tap out in his debut match
Won a Royal Rumble
Won Money in the Bank
Has been in around 50 squash matches when he's not even close to being dominant enough or over enough to warrant that
Has been a WWE champ 2 times in 18 months
Consistently is a title challenger and high on PPV cards

Why? It is the biggest disparity between accolades and fan reaction in about as long as I can remember.

Re: Why is Albert Del Rio hated on here?

His 'richer than you, so better than you' gimmick has been done till Ad nauseam.
Million Dollar Man, Tiger Ali Singh, JBL all had these gimmicks so it's nothing new.
Perhaps he can become a face and get rid of the rich guy gimmick.

Re: Why is Albert Del Rio hated on here?

He's just too boring. And for everything he's been handed, surely he should have gotten over by this point. Let's see...

- Given a fancy entrance with pyro, nice theme, luxury cars, personal ring announcer, scarf, a very wealthy gimmick and all that.
- Makes Rey Mysterio tap out in his debut.
- Takes credit for putting Christian out of action.
- Wins the first ever 40 man Royal Rumble.
- Makes every opponent in his way tap out.
- Goes to Wrestlemania and is put in one of the World Title matches.
- Gets credit for retiring Edge.
- Wins Money in the Bank briefcase.
- Cashes in on a red hot CM Punk that has just retained against Cena at SummerSlam.
- Beats Punk and Cena in Hell in a Cell.
- Goes over Cena in their feud as the person with the last laugh. (unclean but so what?)
- Despite zero reaction, he returns from injury and directly gets put into World Title matches.
- Goes over one of the most over top guys in Randy Orton clean by submission. *pukes*

Anyone would have gotten over by this point. And it wouldn't be a problem if he's over had he actually been entertaining but he's not. Great in-ring talent and all, just way too dull.

He's procbably the best ring worker on the roster. His biggest problem is the gimmick. Its lame. He should be a badass luchador instead he's a Mexican jbl.

This forum criminally underrates Del Rio, luckily the WWE doesnt

Del Rio was doing great in 2011 until he got completely fucking undermined by both Cena and CM Punk

Remember these quotes?? "You're one dimensional, people change the channel when you're on." "You come out here in your RENTED cars"

Yeah, he was doing great when he won the Royal Rumble to literal silence. It's funny that Del Rio marks claim that he was 'buried' by Punk for stating what had been plainly obvious to everyone for over a year; that he's insanely boring and that nobody gives a shit about him or anything he does. He 'retired' a Hall of Famer, he cashed in MITB on the hottest face for years. He made one of the most popular babyfaces in history tap out on his debut and on another occasion injured him and put him out for over a year, and still nobody cares, in fact as we've seen tonight he actually creates the opposite response and kills a hot crowd. There is literally nothing Del Rio can do to get people to care about him, it's a waste of everyone's time them continuing with any sort of push or strong booking. Biggest bust in WWE history.

it's his feud and booking. Like, he doesn't lose clean, but there is no need to keep him so up high since he isn't over. It;s the ignorance to his not-overness that pisses people off.

He was fucking spoiled his entire life. He sucks on the mic and his only good move is his submission move! THAT IS IT!!!

As for heels that get heat as well.... Big Show, Vickie, 3 man band, Prime Time Players. Do I really need to list more?

why does he get hated on? Because he's basically like ryback, his look gave vince a boner and that lead to him getting a huge push despite being a terrible mic worker, having no charisma and putting crowds to sleep (see tonight for example). The real question should be why do people think hes a great in ring worker? Is it just because he has a fancy submission move? Having one submission move does not automatically make you a great technical wrestler. i mean seriously people on here are calling him one of the best in ring workers on the roster??? when has the guy ever recieved rave reviews or had 4/5 star matches? Punk, bryan, ziggler, christian, orton just to name a few are miles better than him because they consistently have had matches that have stolen the show. He is average at best and yet continues to be protected booking wise by vince.

I hate him for different reasons.

There was a report about 6 months ago that came out stating that Del Rio had twice threatened to quit the Fed because he was unhappy with his current standing in the company. I was absolutely stunned to hear that a man who was given (I say given because there is absolutely no way he earned the amount of success he got) a Royal Rumble win, MiTB briefcase, 2 WWE titles, numerous high caliber feuds, a WHC match at his first Wrestlemania...basically, a resume 99% of guys in the industry would kill for but will sadly never obtain...WITHIN 14 MONTHS OF HIS DEBUT, and this fuck twice threatens to pick up his shit and go home because he's not getting MORE. IIRC, he also blamed his lack of overness on the WWE, too...

At that moment I dusted my hands of the greedy prick. If he's not happy being given almost everything you could want in this business without doing a damn thing in the company to earn it, let him go back to Mexico where he's always going on about being incredibly popular. Good, stay in Mexico and don't come back and pollute my television with your fucking crap. There are guys in the Indies working their asses off for 50 bucks a night in rec centers who would kill to have just the chance to try out for a spot on the WWE roster, and here's this cocksucker threatening to walk out TWICE because all the success he's been gifted isn't enough for him.

I absolutely cannot stand people who would dare to act like that. Pisses me off like you wouldn't believe. That's why whenever he comes out to dead silence, I laugh and think it looks good on him. He can whine and bitch about all the things he wants from the WWE, but the 2 things he can't be given are a crowd reaction and personality, and the lack of both are what completely kill him. Good riddance.

ADR is a badass wrestler who unfortunately is booked like bullshit. His character is very vanilla and causes a crowd to either give him X-Pac heat or be despondent as they were in tonight's match with Kofi. I'm a Ricardo Rodriguez mark so I want ADR to continue to be at least semi-relevant. I don't dislike him, just wish he could be more interesting. ADR has his moments, and can put on good matches (like the one vs. Orton at HIAC a few weeks ago) but otherwise he's just kind of... there, and that's it.

He's booked like an absolute monster, considering he's a WWE heel in 2012.

His promos are poorly written and get him no heat. Basically the entire gimmick is not being bought by the audience at all and he gets no reactions. Sucks, because he's a good wrestler but he gives smarks nor casuals any reason to care about his match/feud.
