As you may know or not know, Mark Henry has been medically cleared to return to a WWE ring.
JR talked to him and blogged about him:
"Enjoyed talking to Mark Henry, although briefly, at the game, and he looked great and I know that he's excited about his pending return to WWE. Mark is a big, no pun intended, UT fan and his day at the Texas State Fair likely wasn't as enjoyable as mine but I've been on the other side of the corndog a few times myself in the storied rivalry that ranks with the best rivalries in all of sports."
This man is also knows as Mark "The Ratings" Henry as you may know, this man is very entertaining and many of us are eager to see him back in the WWE.
Now we have this Punk/Ryback situation where Punk's a fucking pussy when he's in the ring with Ryback but a tough SOB when he's being interviewed. Since the SS Team is pretty much confirmed and we're going to see Team Foley and Team Punk clash, a man can save this match, a man that his physical shape matches the Ryback and can even make Ryback seem a bigger man than he already is. A feud with Ryback until the RR-or more would be good, also Punk can have someone else as an opponent and share some of his spotlight with them too.
Punk can face someone who he is not scared of and NOT screw them, and NOT act like a pussy.
Ryback can feud with Mark Henry to prove who's the real World's Strongest Man, also Ryback can be trained when he's given the WWE title and people can shut up about him being a rookie and all.
A few people have mentioned this in the forum recently...like him possibly ripping the cage door off @ HIAC. I would love to see this feud...I didn't get to see Mark Henry in his prime as I didn't get back in to wrestling until after ER but from what I've read from a few of people here is that Henry brings it. I'm sure they'll cross paths.
Who would have thought several years ago that there would come a point in time when fans were clamoring for the return of Mark Henry? The guy that for years people said was a waste of money & worthless. It shows what some good booking & a direction change can do for someone.
He had an excellent title reign, is basically the only heel who isn't booked like a fucking pussy(Big Show doesn't exist to me), and is entertaining. Would definitely be welcomed back.
Fo shizzle. Mark Henry was/is a credible monster heel in an era where credible monster heels were/are extinct. Please don't fuck up the character WWE. No face turn, no sexual chocolate BS, just PAIN.
If they had used Henry right back in the 90's when he came in I could buy him as a "ratings grab" but he's been used as a joke for almost 15 years. The hardest thing about the current Henry character is his entrance music. He's slower than Show in the ring, and worse than Khali on the mic. Someone mentioned him ripping the door from the hiac, but If I remember correctly his track record with that particular stunt isn't exactly great.
He doesn't suck, but he gets old damned quick as a top guy..
do you really want to see Big Show and Mark Henry have another match? The fact that these two were the Smackdown main events for not one, not two but THREE PPV's last year is more than enough to swallow.
WF correspondent CHAMPviaDQ reported that Mark Henry and Ryback did indeed have a match at a house show in Rwanda with Sigourney Weaver as the Social Media Ambassador.
Hell I would love if Henry just came to announce matches or talk trash to fans. His run as champ was entertaining as hell but. Him going at it with fans and his one time on the commentary table were awesome.
What about bring him back to raw to feud with Cena? Could be upset about all the "hype" about Cena's elbow injury and nobody caring about his. Would be cool to see him obsessed with trying to put Cena in the hall of pain.
Have barely noticed Henry's absence. His title reign was so-so, but SAVE.US.HENRY?... no. We're in REAL trouble when we need Mark Henry to save us.
