it's so Truth can go after the US title. and I hope they get at least 1 more match. now I know that WWE is seriously considering this min-3 week feud (vs some random jobber filler), I'd pay attention.
If you were on commentary and someone you liked, who doesn't get enough tv time, finally appeared on tv, wouldn't you be trying to hype them up alot so people get interested in that star.
Haven't seen it, but my guess is they wanted Truth to knock off a former #1 U.S contender to better confirm him as the next contender for the U.S Title.
In terms of wrestling I don't really care about face vs face. Wrestling is supposed to be 'real' so sometimes picks have to not be as predictable as face vs. heel. I might make an exception though for heel vs. heel as according to WWE logic we're not rooting for either side so it makes the match somewhat pointless. At least with face vs face you have a reason to cheer.
I actually really liked the match. Then again I'm kind of naturally pre-programmed to find at least some enjoyment in any Justin Gabriel match, because the guy is absolutely fantastic.
I have no problem with face vs face matches. Don't see how it's in any way a bad thing.
And about the mini dance-off... it's one of those moments I shouldn't have found amusing but I really did.
It was a good match. Gabriel has exciting offense, fans can get into his matches easy. He needs time to be put over though. It was the right call to go with a more experienced contender for right now. Build Gabriel up on the lower card.
I like both of them tbh. What I don't like is how they are being handled by the company. Truth needs to drop this Lil' Jimmy crap and turn heel and Gabriel needs a proper feud with some bigger name.
Well why the fuck not? I'm sick of heels always facing faces,Face vs face/heel vs heel matches are more unpredictable. However other than that,I was hoping this would mean Truth would turn heel,Fuck I miss his heel run.
As others have said it's to test Truth as a possible U.S. champ. Personally I'd like to see this. I think a Truth/Cesaro feud would do a lot for the U.S. title and both Truth and Cesaro.
WWE are putting faces vs faces & heels vs heels for quite a while now...
Truth vs Clay, McIntyre vs Mahal (on Superstars), Otunga vs McGillicutty, Show vs Tensai, Ziggler vs Punk, Kidd & Gabriel vs Santino & Ryder and who knows what's going on with the divas status.
