- WWE officials had been negotiating with Chris Jericho on a new contract, but talks fell through. WWE opted to cease talks with the wrestler/musician in recent days.

It is believed that the proposed deal fell through due to control over when he worked as well as his activities outside of WWE. Officials were seeking a deal where the company would be his top priority and they would have some control over his outside endeavors. Jericho, on the other hand, wanted complete control of all of his activities.

Jericho was open to returning as early as this month had WWE agreed to his terms. He was looking to work forty to fifty dates per year, including full-time for cycles. However, he would determine the periods when he worked and would be strictly unavailable during tours.

maybe not. But it makes what we all know, WWE are jerk-offs who want to have complete control of their employees and not have them do anything else.

Same thing with Edge. They pist he didn't sign their precious legends deal and wanted to control him from doing other things, like acting, and now reportedly pist that Beth wants to leave because of Edge. Its pathetic if you ask me, so you can't have a life outside of the WWE?

LOP used to be reliable. Now they're pulling shit out of their ass worse than the next guy.

"This just in, Ryback might face CM Punk at Wrestlemania. There's also talks of a feud with Triple H. There's a feeling backstage that he might face Jericho. CM Punk is also in the mix with Undertaker. CM Punk might also face The Rock. There's a feeling The Rock might face Cena. There's a feeling in the back that anything is possible and anybody could face anybody. This just in."

You forgot the "Stay tuned for more as we get it" which they never do.

Good for Jericho. The guy came back and put over everyone he feuded with and he deserves to come back on his own terms if that's how he feels. Good for him for not accepting something that he wasn't totally cool with.

I can see it from both POVs. Jericho dosen't want schedule interferences, and WWE wants concrete dates, which Jericho can't really give because of tours coming up and such.

Whatever, though, Jericho's entertaining, but he's a WWE guy. He'll be back.

He will be back. I dont believe this report anyways. U watch will see Jericho at 29

The next time you'll see Jericho back in wrestling it'll be with TNA. There's absolutely nothing else for him to do in the company and TNA has the type of schedule that will make his juggling of two careers easier. He already said that there would have to be crazy circumstances for him not to work there before he retires.

Jericho has said many time wwe is his home and will never work for another wrestling organization ever

Jericho on possibility of joining TNA: "Never say never. I hope they do great and although I've taken jabs at Eric Bischoff on Twitter, I like him and I'm happy that he's in TNA... So it would have to be some kind of really crazy circumstance for me to not be working there until the day I retire.
"

People say a lot of things.

Speaking of Fozzy not being popular amoungst the non-WWE fans, I'd be interested in finding out how many Fozzy fans are actually wrestling fans. I would guess a good portion aren't wrestling fans, and heard Fozzy on satellite radio on Octane. Recently, Octane has been playing Fozzy's new song, "Sandpaper" quite a bit. They were also on the Uproar Festival this past year. With that being said, I'm sure Fozzy would have ended up doing just as well regardless.

On the topic of Jericho returning to the WWE, there's no doubt he'll be back. It won't be until early next year, on the road to Wrestlemania 29, but he'll be back.

Good. I love Jericho but at this point... Every time WWE is forced to part, however briefly or extensively, with one of their established stars from the past, is a good thing from my perspective. If I were Jericho I would be at least mildly upset with how they squandered Ziggler's ejecting me in the counterproductive effort to... Who knows what? But Ziggler's push has been laughable in its inconsistency and tedium (two things which rarely go together but somehow WWE has scored again!). I don't blame Jericho at all for wanting certain perks and/or a lighter schedule and control over his outside ventures. I'm fairly confident he'll be back in WWE for one last run in the near future, but for now, focus on Fozzy and the rest of your life, Jericho, and come back to WWE when it's most convenient for you rather than for them.
