was the saddest display of spoken language i've ever heard in my life. there is no way this guy can replace rey mysterio when he speaks english worse than a drunken infant. the only time he didn't bomb is when he dropped the f bomb. i can't even take him seriously in the ring after that. actually i haven't been able to take him seriously ever since i watched him playing madden on up up down down where he proved to be the worst player in the history of history.
I don't know that Kalisto has a hard time speaking english, he's just pretty awful on the mic. He has that fake charisma that the Usos have. Like, they just say things that a charismatic person would say but it has no feelings and/or natural cadence behind it.
He speaks English fine. He simply doesn't have any personality to speak of. That was his opportunity to show he was more than a little guy who could flip and he couldn't have been more bland. The term vanilla midget has never been more applicable and I hope that Rusev goes over.
But....but he's a midget that makes the fans that like to believe a midget should actually beat a monster big man happy. He was terrible on the mic. Keep him quite and put him in matches with people closer to his size and I wouldn't mind him at all.
Kalisto is so bad I literally wanted any one of the men in the battle royal to win, just to take the title away from him. Kalisto is shit, I bet Sin Cara is better on the mic. If they HAVE to keep him just make them a no-talking, jobbing tag team.
I can deal with a 150 lbs guy beating a 300 lbs guy once. But his gimmick of "I'm smaller and weaker but I still win" is bullshit.
If I was John Cena I'd be PISSED at Del Rio and Kalisto.
What do they have to do with anything this has been 100% on creative just look at the stupid fucking Mexamerica gimmick Del Rio got and they never even tried to make Kalisto seem important.
Kalisto is American, he's from Chicago. In WWE he is billed as being from Mexico, so he has to speak with an accent and limit his vocabulary. Though it helps that he lived in Mexico for some time. But oh well, I guess it's still real to some people, dammit.
You must not remember Eddie Guerrero's broken english too' "Vato Ese". I think WWE tells their hispanic stars like Eddie and Mysterio (and now Kalisto) to talk like that.
I have said this before and I'll repeat it... the only major difference between Kalisto and Mysterio is in the way they are presented. Kalisto has great potential, they just have to book him to his strenghts and not stick him in meaningless matches.

Kalisto has tons of potential, he's brilliant in the ring, but his mic skills certainly are not good at all, he was pretty woeful on commentary sadly. I think the issue is that his whole gimmick is leaning far too much towards 'generic luchador underdog' with the way he speaks. He's definitely being made into something similar to Mysterio (He'll just never make it to the main event of course). His mic time should definitely be limited.
I was face palming every time he opened his mouth. How embarrassing. Stumbling on top of his words blurting out random Eddie guerreros and Rey mysterios.....like dude, make your own claim to fame stop riding the coattails of formerly successful Latino wrestlers as if it has anything to do with you.
I can now safely say Neville is superior to Kalisto in every way imaginable, even mic skills. He was already a better wrestler, high flyer and athlete. Kalisto's disastrous performance on commentary sealed this one. Hopefully it put en end to his horrible reign. He's a skidmark on Rey Mysterios drawers.
He can do some cool stuff and had a decent match at Payback but I'm still not sold on him. Don't see anything special. Don't see why they couldn't just use say Neville in his place? Merch money from masks perhaps.

Probably has something to do with his ethnicity. I am sure he is huge among latinos. Like when WWE was in LA not too long ago Del Rio was getting huge cheers.
you're seriously comparing guerrero's talking ability to kalisto? it's not just about broken english, it's about not sounding like a bumbling idiot for the entirety of his segment. like todd was saying, he had no natural feeling or cadence. as far as madden goes... i'm sorry, but if you go the whole game without ONCE throwing to an open receiver, there's just no excuse for that. i have no idea how this guy is even capable of calling a match. well he is a babyface so i'm sure it's the heels doing it.
He has no personality nor verbal charisma whatsoever. A lot of wrestlers don't have either, but at least they are confident when they speak. Kalisto on the other hand wasn't. It truly was an awful display.
