I Am Loving What They're Doing with Sasha Banks

For the last 3 months, the Divas division has been one of the highlights of the show with storylines that actually make sense, and compelling rivalries to get you invested in feuds. The trend started with Charlotte and Becky, and it is continuing with Sasha Banks vs Team BAD. On Raw, Naomi beat Sasha like she stole something. I haven't seen a forearm that stiff since Nikki went on vacation. On Smackdown, there was actually continuation, and Naomi and Sasha had one of the stiffest matches we've seen from the women on the main roster. Not only was the match good, but they also did a good job of making Sasha looking vulnerable this week, as they told the story of the Team BAD breakup.

So to conclude, WWE ended up accomplishing two things in making you care about Smackdown, and making you care about the Divas division. I like where this is going. Initially, I just wanted Sasha to dispose of Team BAD as quickly as possible so she could move on to Charlotte, but they've actually managed to make me interested in this feud.

I always love when good friends feud with each other because they are so much stiffer than they are with everybody else. Sasha in NXT was always stiff but other than Sasha I've only ever seen Naomi go Worldstar on Cameron. I have a feeling this match at Fastlane is going to get decent time and as long as Tamina doesn't get too much of it, it should be pretty good.

Spot on. Maybe Lita has more influence on booking Divas division right now? Or someone locked Steph in the broom closet?

Becky stole the show over the last month or so, Charlotte played her part as a great heel, now Sasha is coming into her element too after being in the background for a little bit.

Potentially golden triple threat incoming.

Agreed. The divas division has been a highlight for a while now, and looks to continue into the WrestleMania season. Becky has gotten over huge, Charlotte is making a damn good heel champion, and...well...Sasha is the muthafuckin' Boss.

Good job, WWE. You've actually made the diva's division relevant again :eva2

So Stephanie wasn't/isn't involved. Makes sense why these girls are actually producing compelling television in that case. :lol I can't truly put into words how much I detest Stephanie creatively. The only thing good she's ever had a hand in was Cena's "8 Mile" gimmick rip off that actually blossomed into something special because of the talent himself. She's absolutely horrible and I hate that these talented women are burdened with her looming over them.

I couldn't agree more. The bar, is indeed, very very low at the moment. But it is not the full story

Based on the last 6 years of Diva booking, this is probably the best period we have seen, this is a new phase where the focus is on in ring performances, and brand new fueds, instead of looks, bitchyness, and shenanigans.

What we are witnessing is these young ladies laying a foundation for a new division of womens wrestling, and thats quite interesting, in and of itself.

But the fueds at the moment are tame, weak, badly written, with no points of interest from a story perspective. Us wrestling fans on here can't seem to grasp the concept that this is important for the more casual viewer.

Until we get Trish/Mickie levels of goat storyline/booking/promo's/character work, then we haven't hit the new golden era yet. We need great stories to go with their great wrestling.

The divas division is in a far better place than it's been in years, but they could easily f^ck things up between now and Wrestlemania. With all the injuries now could be an opportune time to get extra creative with the diva storylines

At the very least, we'll get a fun match out of Banks/Charlotte at Wrestlemania. It's clear that management are very high on Sasha Banks with how much they've been protecting her, so i'm expecting the feud to be more than just throwaway filler material -- could be proven wrong tho

Yea I actually been following Sasha's story more (as well as AJ Styles) and watched Smackdown only for them, and I haven't watched Smackldown in years. I like they are trying to make Sasha come out of her own shell more, best thing they did was get rid of Team Bad and Team PCB. Although I would prefer to see her be that bitch heel she plays so well I can't complain so far considering people love her, and she's young so there's plenty of time for a good heel run for her :)

Sasha vs Becky vs Charlotte must be the way they will go at Mania. I will be pissed off if anyone else gets added to the match. Its set up perfectly right now.

Sasha needs to come out as champion. I think she is ready to carry the brand as the female champions for quite some time.

I can guarantee though that whoever wins the title off Charlotte, she will win it back within a month or two. Thats how things go when your daddy is Ric Flair...

Missed the last few months on my hiatus but I heard that Charlotte and Becky had a good build up to their match at Rumble and the match itself was pretty good. And the reaction for Sasha afterwards was awesome.

From what I've seen and heard, they've been doing a great job of keeping Sasha relevant while also keeping her out of the title picture by having her consistently winning matches. Her and Naomi are a good, fun pairing in the ring. And I like the awkward little friendship she has with Becky. It's refreshing to see two people team up but still stay within their own characters. Sasha is a mean bitch and doesn't shy away from that but she's willing to at least work with Sasha. And Becky isn't trying to act like her friend either. Like she said on SD!, this is an alliance not a friendship.

So, good on all accounts in the Diva's division. Shaping up for a great Triple Threat at Mania.

I actually liked Team B.A.D but I always looked forward to their break up feud as well. What Raw and Smackdown showed me this week is it can be as enjoyable as i thought it could be. Which makes me sad knowing it's probably gonna be rushed to make way for the Mania feud with Charlotte, Becky, Sasha even though i'm looking forward to that match.

Why do people think Becky is so over? As far as the NXT divas that were promoted are concerned she has made by far the least impact despite unfortunately having more screen time than Sasha. Only a matter of time before Bayley comes and replaces her as the babyface of the main roster.

Because she was given crap to work with and seemed to be set up to be a forgotten performer. Yet has shown personality and a strong, natural fan connection. As well as improving her mic skills as she has gone along.

Her reactions have generally been quite acceptable, even good. Don't know what the problem is.
