The commentary is spot on, AJ Styles match-ups, Brock Lesnar appearance next week. Looks like they're finally putting the effort to put this show back on the map. I can only hope it gets better the rest of this year. If only they could stop with the tag-team main events.

I am watching since 2009 without missing one episode. It gets slighty better now, still needs a lot of work and there's a lot of hits or misses, but I have hope SmackDown will be a consistently decent show overall by the end of this year.

It's the same old sh^t as RAW, only easier to digest because it's only 2 hours instead of 3. The entire structure of the product will have to be turned on it's head before any kind of significant progress will be made. Allowing a commentator more freedom to call a match is like putting a bandaid on a severed leg after a car crash

I enjoyed it more than RAW this week. Faster pacing helps. RoRe and Rusev match opened the show, it was cool to have a match set up the main event instead of a promo. I'll watch next week 'cause of the AJ/Jericho match. Jericho did a good job putting AJ over during the match with Miz, but they'll have to let AJ talk soon. What little I could hear on the mic, he does have a STRONG southern accent. Maybe Vince has a vocal coach working on that right now, who knows?

Did anyone else who watched notice one of the announcers referred to Dean and Roman as "Ambreigns"? Seemed like a call back to the New Day promo from RAW, but set up for that weird little moment when Roman caught Ambrose. I was wondering if they were gonna hug it out or attack each other. It was funny, but they're teasing a split between those two pretty hard right now.

Loved Social Outcasts and New Day match. Wish Social Outcasts would have gotten the win. I really like seeing the show improve, and that's one reason why. Develop the gimmicks more, feuds and storylines should be easier to spin if we can immediately understand why two wrestlers would hate each other on sight.

Yea I can't stand the pointless tag team main events-- I always skip to the end for fuckery/potential story development and there never is any-- other than that Smackdown has been pretty solid since moving to USA. I'm not a fan of the fact that it's the IC division show but that's only because I don't like Ambrose, Owens and Ziggler and they get a ton of time on Smackdown.

I've actually been interested in watching it for a change. And I agree, replace Cole with Ranallo like yesterday.

The thing that I've been told about Cole is that, he's the ultimate multitasker...

In addition to calling matches, he's fishing through wrestler's twitter accounts, and he also has a lunatic yelling into his ear.

If Renallo can do that... I'm all for somebody getting replaced.

I am sorry but calling belly to belly suplex a "What a throw!" is not actually calling matches.

All he is good for is his twitter wars knowledge, having a mindless banter with JBL and being Vince's puppet. None of those qualities add anything to the in-ring action.

Mauro Renallo is the best thing that has happened to that announcers table since JR left and should atleast be on PPVs if not Raw. I dont even mind cole sitting beside him doing his usual nonsense.

What's Lesnar actually going to be doing, though?

Undertaker appeared on Smackdown not too long ago and he...attacked Wade Barrett, for some reason.

They need to focus on more storyline progression over anything else.

It was a segment for the crowd only, he only "appeared" in the titantron at the end of the show :mj5

Pretty sure it's gonna be the same thing with Lesnar, they'll air a pre-recorded segment or something like that, much like Rock's segment on the 15th anniversary episode of the show that uses his catchphrase :gaga1

God forbid they actually give him a match, that MAY be reason enough to give it a watch, and that's a big may

SD > Raw

But the main events which is focusing on Roman reigns still suck.

SD becoming slowly relevant.
Lesnar on the next SD episode, AJ Styles vs Jericho.
I love that.
