last year the true underdog Bryan was feuding with the machine ( i like to call the authority with that name ) , when he feuded with Haitch 50% of people thought that Hatch is winning because the management never wanted Bryan to win the title , now with Reigns , they're going to repeat the same storyline but most people know that the management is high on reigns and that hes going to win the title unlike Bryan .

HHH only just now doing what he should have done two years ago smdh. Burying Sting and WCW at WM> was a more important priority than building a new star.
Exactly. Reigns/HHH would have made far more sense, and was even rumored to happen but then it didn't. They could have saved themselves from the spot they're in now if HHH didn't bury Sting, and they never went ahead with the farce that was Roman Reigns Mania push.

Bryan vs Triple H was a perfect storyline. We had the most beloved star since Austin/Rock getting screwed on television and the hardcore fans knew Vince never had high hopes for him. We had the perfect antagonist in Triple H, arguably the best heel in modern wrestling who also happened to be the son in law of Vince. CM Punk left. The fans were hijacking the show for Bryan. Even though it was predictable, it was a feel good moment when Bryan finally beat Triple H and later won the title.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns is no where as popular as Bryan and the hardcore fans will never accept Reigns since he is Vince's golden boy. I expect Triple H to play a great heel as usual. But It takes two to tango and I honestly do not think Reigns will not come even remotely close to what Bryan did in the same role.

No one thought HHH was winning as soon as the match was made for WM30. It was pretty damn obvious Bryan was going all the way, with a very slim chance Batista might end up winning in the final match. 50% were certainly not dumb enough to think HHH was going over Bryan. The stipulation was the winner would be inserted into the main event of WM30. There aren't going to be 3 heels in the main event.

The story before the WM30 match was made was that management didn't give Bryan the chance. He wasn't in the Royal Rumble, he lost again at Elimination Chamber, and this was getting to fans. This forced WWE's hands, and fans were smart enough to see where it was going once that had happened. After EC, and especially when this match was made, it was clear Bryan was getting his chance. At the very least, he was going to compete in the main event at WM30. The entire story was built around that.

HHH never stood a chance of winning. He made Bryan look better than he ever had before. It was masterful heel work.

He didn't get one last monday, so I doubt it. Although I kinda miss Bryan getting his ass handed to him by the Authority and the Shield week after week.

Indeed I do remember it. Daniel Bryan overcoming The Authority and going on to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion will forever be one of my favourite moments in WWE history (especially considering it happened on the same night that The Streak ended.)

The storyline was perfect, and was a great example that with ACTUAL LONG-TERM BOOKING, A STAR WHO THE FANS WANT TO SEE SUCEED, and a CLEAR-CUT HEEL, wrestling can be exciting for generations to come.

I do remember the HHH/Bryan feud. It's still going on right now except the part of Daniel Bryan will now be played by Roman Reigns.

Of course, to be fair, the role of Daniel Bryan was previously played by Steve Austin while HHH used to be Vince McMahon.

Re: remember that HHH/Bryan feud ?

I sometimes get upset that guys aren't given a championship.

But on the other side of coin, I am kind of glad they don't allow guys the title, cause I have a new philosophy after talking about wrestling:

"The longer you wait is generally better". But, the rule is, "strike while iron is hot". The situation, is waiting, and then striking when hot.

I was reading that they want fans completely behind Roman but many thought of him as Corporate champ. Well duh WWE, the internet was covered in "who is turning heel, ambrose or roman", and then do the "shake my hand Roman".

Doesn't matter how many times Roman turns his back on HHH or spears him, as long as Authority is interested in him, a good portion believe him to be a potential corporate champ.

What about it. It was merely an Austin/Mcmahon remake, only that Bryan was getting his ass handed to him by everybody via Triple H, and ultimately Bryan was going to beat the Authority. Anybody with a brain knew that was going to happen, regardless of how many people thought Bryan was "held back" when they were working you morons the entire time. With Reigns, you can see this shit coming when ultimately, it's going to end up ending with a Superman punch, followed by a spear and Roman Reigns holding the belt. The only question is when are they going to hold it off til?

It just baffles me why they choose this route with Reigns.

If the objective is to get those who boo Reigns to cheer him, it's not going to work. Those fans know full well that Reigns isn't being held back in the slightest. With Daniel Bryan, it felt real. He got shoved back into mid-card obscurity after he was screwed out of the title at Summerslam, everyone thought that he'd win the RR, because his story was literally having no pay-off. And then the fans reacted in a way that forced the WWE's hand. It felt like WWE didn't actually want to push Bryan in reality. With Reigns, it's completely the opposite. And the smart fans who boo him are always going to see through that. If anything it'll make them boo him more because they'll see how phony the storyline is.

Look at the Bryan storyline ->

Bryan was the best wrestler, he was over - >

Bryan lost EVERY MATCH at NXT
Michael Cole buried HIM. MIZ Buried HIM
He came back strong -> Got fired for choking
He came back and won the US TITLE
They relegated him vs Sheamus to the Under-card in Mania for the US Title
Bryan vs Sheamus -> 18s at Mania he lost the World Heavy Weight Title
Bryan vs Cena - Bryan wins (Cena goes to get surgery) - HHH screws him out
The Crowd shits of on everything, even in the Orton vs Cena match with all World Champions, they are cheering for Bryan
Bryan soon becomes the jobber of Wyatt - Crowd is still nuts for him
Bryan LOSES to Wyatt as a massively over BABYFACE who just turned, in the RUMBLE heading to Mania season when a win would have helped him (But now they have no plans for the jobber Bryan and they want Wyatt strong vs Cena)
Bryan is not even in the RUMBLE match

The Crowd shits on everybody including Batista
Bryan is booked (probably in the Undercard) vs Sheamus / Kane

vs Reigns -

A green guy who came into the roster due to size who can't work the mic and who isn't great in the ring. He learns fast and is decent in the ring, can't work the mic but is booked as a "Super Hero". I can't remember him ever loosing a match CLEAN even as a HEEL during the later part of his run. He beats the Champion Punk almost clean after a grueling match while the rest of his Shield mates jobs to Punk.

He has not LOST a match clean since then. Look at his WIN/LOSS record against say Dolph Ziggler & Dean Ambrose (2 Upper-Mid Card Faces). They are shoved, they loose cleanly, they loose often. Contrast that with Reigns, who is a much inferior ring worker than Ziggler or a mic worker than Ambrose.

This company is obsessed with size. Look at Strowman. This guy is pathetic. He is almost as bad as the Khali was when he first debuted (little more mobile than his later phases).
