So now that all is said and done, the 2 veterans who went over in the co main event, didn't even as much cut a backstage promo. Especially with a roster full of non credible mid carders...
Whilst the other 4 young guys who were completely embarrassed had to show up, with little comments on the previous night, and put in a random match. Yes, they went over (dirty btw fpalm ), but what kind of fucking booking is this!?!?
What is the pay off of this feud? 2 veterans with illustrious careers going over a full stable of young bucks. For what!? A 25 year anniversary? GTFO here with that nonsense!!! Seriously though, why!?
Instead of giving the rub to a group who will show up every Monday and Thursday (Tuesday) to carry the show, you give it to part timers. One of them who has been booked like a joke for years now (Kane is all of a sudden a monster again... kay ). Mind fucking boggling!
Actually, I say good.
They just would have beaten up the Wyatts again, if they were there.
It's getting sad now. I've been a huge Undertaker mark since I was 6 years old, but he's reached that "Joe Montana playing for the Chiefs" phase. It's obvious that he needs to hang it up and pass the torch (and the time to do that should have been after WM30. He should be in the HOF by now and resting easy in retirement) but he just keeps plodding along.
If the Brothers of Destruction aren't on the show, there's yet another chance to sweep the past under the rug and rebuild the Wyatts. That's one good thing about wrestling, they can always ignore the past, if they want, and rebuild someone. They just have to actually commit to it for once instead of these false builds that lead to yet another Wyatt loss.
This is the enabling mindset that allows WWE to do what they do. "Sweep it under the rug and ignore history" :vince2
A win would have meant so much more.
And they didn't ignore it BTW. "The Brothers of Destruction survived last night, but The Dudley Boyz will be torn apart tonight and we will show you their insides." That was it...
I can't help but feel like this almost has to end with Bray finally over coming what has basically become his nemesis, retiring Undertaker one day. Only way this will fix the damage that has been done.
The Wyatt Family going over The SHIELD clean meant way more. They dethroned the stable who ran through the entire roster, including part timers. But got fed to Cena (who got handled by The SHIELD), while The SHIELD got put over by Evolution. WWE logic...
Completely "pull it out of our ass as we go" booking as usual for the Wyatts. If Kane & Undertaker want to stay away though, that's A-OK with me. Don't need 'em stomping over the rest of the roster too.
Well, troll. Im saying The Undertaker and Kane could have came out to cut a promo, then at the very least have The Wyatt Family come out and put the on the shelf till Wrestlemania season.
Instead, they will disappear until the WWE randomly wants to bring them back, thus making their win completely pointless.
And the match was far from phenomenal. Taker botched a move on Harper and barely got the Tombstone :mj
I already called this last week in another thread, no need for them really to go over the Wyatts. Taker is gonna take a vacation from now until the Rumble/road to WM. I guess they just wanted to do something special and put Taker over cause of his 25th anniversary.
they'll be back at the Rumble in the Rumble Taker will probably eliminate Kane have a brief feud from than to Fast Lane someone will interfere or it somehow be the set up to Taker's match at Mania
Don't get why Taker is getting all this hate??? Wyatt hasn't hardly won any singles feuds he's been involved in and now suddenly Taker and Kane defeat the Wyatts on Taker's 25th Anniversary and now suddenly the Wyatts are buried??? I think the likes of Cena and Reigns did that months ago!
Seeing Taker and Kane as the dominate Brothers of Destruction was great!!! Imagine if Wyatt got the pin? People would be splitting feathers.
Yeah Kane always normally puts over talent however I think people are going a little overboard on the hate for Taker, let's face it he wasn't exactly going to lose on his 25th Anniversary was he?
I said it in a post I made about a week or two ago that this was one of the worst things WWE has done in a decade booking wise, and it's managed to be worse than I thought. The Wyatts are a faction you can make formidable so easily, and they are sadly wasting them on the Dudley's. And it's a waste because Wyatts vs the Dudley's could be a great feud. But unfortunately the entire faction is being needed to fight them, and it shouldn't be that way. It should be the entire WWE trying to find a way to bring down the Wyatts, with the Dudley's going after two of them, which I think should be Harper and Rowan since they have experience as a tag team and it would be a great match. From this point on, using the Wyatts like this does them no favors, and this includes their match with Taker and Kane. It wouldn't have mattered if the Wyatts went over. People know the Wyatts have two other guys outside who helped make the match end that way. I know the Wyatts are heels, but with a faction like this you need to build them up as being unstoppable not due to their numbers, but due to the fact that they're unbeatable monsters. You need to make us believe that any one of them to go up against a main eventer here and they would be able to go toe to toe with them. Right now I don't believe that for a second.
