Told me that WWE still sees Roman Reigns has there new face of WWE in replacement of Cena over time. This isn't a criticism of the segment or whatever, it's all for a good cause but having reigns up there with Cena just made it seem like he's going to be one WWE want replacing Cena with all the good causes segments and make a wishes.

Here we go.

Thread #1 out of 2,335,343,937 future threads on this segment and Reigns being the new Cena.

No disrespect to you OP, just stating the obvious future landscape of this board for the rest of the year.
Yeah, I don't know if my post has came across negative, it wasn't intended to be. Personally enjoy Reigns but I just think with everyone saying WWE had lost some steam about Reigns I think that showed they at least see him as the 2nd biggest face in the company right now

And...?

I really hope that's not all you have to say. Cena is getting older, he's been overexposed for over a decade, and WWE needs some change. Besides, Reigns seems like he enjoys the charity stuff, so if he does, let him.
Don't confuse a SUBSTITUTION with change, the E isn't changing, there is no revolution on the horizon, no light at the end of the tunnel names LOLCENAWINS......

No instead there about to take an even LESS over talent in Roman Regins aka this years RTWM damaged goods and are about to well, remember that retarded kid or should I say slower kid back in pre-school the one trying to fit the round peg into the square hole?

Yeah that kid grew up to be Vince McMahon & he's about to force Roman into a box named "the John Cena Experience" aka get ready for 10 years of FU-ROMAN-WINS

Yep I'm Out

Well, considering how much he has been shat on during the RTWM and every other moment he's been near the main event scene, you'd think they have been looking for a plan B; also, I know you're one of those that advocates a heel turn for him. Aren't you upset by the fact that they keep trying to force him into a role that (at the moment) wastes a good 50% of his potential?

He is not Cena, and he doesn't even look properly fitting in the role of the pandering babyface, in my opinion. But hey, who would have said 12 years ago that the Doctor of Thuganomics would have turn into this pandering clown?

It was cringeworthy, as bad as Cena is at least you come to expect this kind of shilling and exploitation from him. Using sick kids/troops/cancer as "You can't boo me!" human shields is Cena's M.O. to move merchandise and line his pockets, but now they got Reigns in on it? Terrible, this is not going to get him over with the fans as the new 'face of the company', it all feels very forced and artificial.

What I found more telling was that the crowd was really being a good sport about the whole thing and throwing out yes chants and what not...

And then Roman Reigns magically popped out of the mat and started talking.

And then the crowd DIED.

Holy crap you could hear crickets.

I really hope WWE was paying attention, but you just know they'll simply ignore the fact the crowd fell over dead while they try to make it like he blew the roof off the place.

That was a dark segment right?

And yeah, this isn't really surprising. Guess they haven't learned and are intent on making Reigns the new Cena.
Nope fpalm

Ridiculous to put that segment in the middle of the show.

I'm all for WWE helping out charities and donating but just the way they present themselves and shove it down peoples throat leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's more a publicity stunt then anything. They can run a 1 minute ad during commercials and get it over with but no they do an entire segment of it on RAW. Imagine watching UFC and that happens. It's unthinkable.

Obviously, none of this I've seen before on Attitude Era. Kayfabe or whatever is in. We can't just know that they do the stuff outside of the shows, they have to whore our Cena and put it on a segment and commercials. It just explains to me how they've become so corporatized over of the years.

To be fair, the faces for this campaign are Cena, Reigns, Ziggler, Alicia, Charlotte, and Titus. The other 4 aren't anywhere near as popular right now, so it makes sense. Who should've been picked since it isn't ok for Reigns to do anything Cena does?

Agreed . It was even more disgusting during the mania season when they used that little kid who died for good publicity , Steph even tweeted that only money what matters .
